Snippets from Chapter 10 - I Am Kira Vladimir

I was enjoying my lunch with a group of foreign investors when I heard a high pitched voice literally yelling at the waiter for accidentally dropping her food. I looked up to the waiter and the woman who was part of the group who came to discuss our new joint venture and just waited until someone said something.

The waiter kept on apologizing and I had enough already. The waiter clearly didn't mean to drop it and yet this woman continued to ridicule him for his mistake.

"People make mistakes. There's no need to go so far as to look down on someone because of his job. At least he's working." The woman ignored my words and continued to justify her action. I waved my hand for the waiter to leave but the woman forbade him.

Somehow I think this waiter seems familiar to me. But I just couldn't remember where.

"Stop embarrassing yourself. What you're doing is reflecting on your true identity. If this is how you reprimand your staff, I don't see why I need to continue this discussion. The man made one small mistake and you accused him of such severe accusations. As someone of power, teach those who made mistakes how to do a proper job! Let him go!" The woman finally let go of the waiter.

"I'm sorry, Miss Vladimir. I will make sure to talk sense into my colleague." And now this man decided to talk?! Despicable!

Should I back out now? But I'm too deep in this shit to even consider bailing them. What would my mother do in this situation? Oh-

"This is a friendly warning, sir. One false love from your team, and I will get myself out of such a mess immediately." They continue to talk bullshit and wasting my time until the very end. The woman didn't even say anything as the rest warned her not to speak.

After the discussion was over, I decided to leave and on my way towards my car, I saw a familiar woman.
