Amelia Olsen

We had been in New York for ten minutes and we nearly died TWICE.

"who allowed him to drive again?" I asked as I walked out the death trap they called a car.

"It wasn't that bad, don't be dramatic." my eyes widen as he smiled back. Taking a deep breath "Don't be dramatic he says." is all I say as I chuckled. I nearly died and he called me dramatic. Maybe I was being dramatic. Dramatic enough to realize I nearly died a virgin. I nearly died a student and not a accomplished writer and ceo. I nearly died single instead of being a wife. Laughing to myself. I nearly died without bearing my future husband any children. I nearly died a sad lonely and unaccomplished women.

Amelia looked so beautiful as she kept laughing to herself. Most people would look at her see crazy but I smiled as she kept mumbling to herself and laughing right after. I didn't know what she was thinking in that moment but I'm sure she was just trying calm down.

"Is she okay?" Ivan asked as he looked at Amelia concerned and before she could respond back Adeline interjected "She's processing."

"From what?" Ivan asked clueless "Your driving." Amelia answered coldly "What about it drama queen?" she scrunched up her face and tilted it while staring back at Ivan.

Looking into his eyes "She means you have a creative way in driving and next time we wouldn't like to being in the car until we atleast feel accomplished with life at least." Adeline replied with a small questionable smile at the end.

Walking away from the craziness I followed right behind Amelia as she walked away quietly I pulled her suitcase by it's wheels and we entered her dorm room in no time.

"We weren't finished talking." Christopher spoke up startling me. Grabbing into my chest dramatically might I add. "You scared me." He frowned "Am I that scary looking?" he asked pouting making me giggle.

Rolling my eyes dramatically "Maybe, maybe not even though I wasn't frightened by your facial features. More like I entered a empty and quiet room by myself not knowing you were right behind me and then hearing a sudden voice appear would scare any normal person but yes you look scary."

"Weren't finished talking what Christopher?" I asked exhausted from the day itself. "Well you ended the call."

"Yes and" I asked as I watched him fiddle with his fingers.

"Not that it bothered me. I actually didn't care but you said we would talk in person." and that's when it dawned on me.

"YOU DID IT FOR ME?" my voice louder than I expected "Are you angry at me?"

"No Christopher I'm not annoyed or angry at you for being so insensitive and just fucked up."

"What. Insensitive? How?"

"You moron. You knew what a fucked up jerk she was and you protected her from me when all I wanted to do was defend myself. You treated the victim with such disrespect while the perpetrator got away with it, and honestly I was more hurt with your actions then hers. I expected her to act out but I didn't expect you to treat me so villianish as if I was the mastermind of what took place in that bathroom."

"Sunshine."

"No."

"You betrayed me the moment you held my hand back like I was the problem, like I was the abuser. She beat ME up and she tormented ME and that's because I'm always around YOU."

"Look but I wasn't there so I didn't know. I spoke to her and she's willing to apologize."

Scoffing as my ears heat up "Apologize?"

"You spoke to her about me. Are you mad?" I shouted he walked closer and I stepped back for some space "Sunshine."

"Stop calling me that! Do you even know why she beat me up?"I asked and he nodded "Enlighten me." I added as I tapped my right foot repeatedly "Because you guys just don't get along."

"Girls don't just beat each other up for no apparent reason Christopher." his silence spoke volumes within my hot ears.

"She beat me up because you got me that pizza and if she saw you holding my bag or following me inside this room just know she'll probably want to beat me up once again because you were fucking nice to me." grabbing my jacket off my coat rack, I walked right past him.

"Just so you know I had to go see my grandmother with my bruised face and just know even with all the make up those bruises stained my skin like I was a canvas with paint on. I hate her but I'm starting to feel like it's not just her whom I hate now." moving towards me I walked closer to the door "Sunshine." he called out and apart of me broke but I knew what needed to be done.

"Just stay the hell away from me Christopher."

Walking in was the whole crew and before I could chase after her they all stopped me. "Sit." Adeline pointed towards Amelia's bed and I complied.

"She's not lying."

"You guys heard everything?" I asked embarrassed "YEAH." Ivan shouted making everyone look at him. "Sorry, I got caught up in the moment."

"Look it's not that she can't fight back but like you said she shouldn't have to get physical to get Eleanor to back off but she might have to and that will cause nothing but problems for her."

"I can just tell my mother not to take action." I offered and Adeline looked at me weirdly.

"You don't get it, do you?" Adeline huffed as she paced the room. "She comes from a influential and affluential family."

"We all do and how she's just new money."Ivan interrupted making me smirk. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath and looked directly at me pressing her lips into a thin line.

My curiosity peeked and she knew I was listening. "What do you mean she's both." I asked Adeline "I can't say much because that's her business but what I can say is she cannot get into any trouble with anyone at all at any costs."

"So she can't fight for herself?" Ivan asked and Adeline nodded.

"How affluential is her family?" and a small tiny smile made it on her face. "They are comfortable." and that's only a term used by the old money families.

Comfortable meant you could quit working for 100 years and you would still have wealth as an old money legacy. "She's not a legacy though so she's not so rich." Ivan added and I couldn't help but feel a bit curious.

"I need to go find her." I said as I stood up and Adeline closed her door. "No one is bothering her peace right now. Trust me she needs it after your conversation."

"She mentioned her grandmother." I spoke up after a few minutes silent. "That's why I mentioned her family." she said as she smiled.

So it's her grandmother's family that's wealthy? How wealthy are they?

"You need to apologize and just stay clear from her radar." Adeline added and everyone else agreed leaving me with no choice.

I needed her to understand how much I was sorry but I didn't know how to show her.

If space is what she needs, space is what I'm willing to give her.
