Amelia Olsen
I woke up to a text and it was my grandmother demanding I attend a gala or party to probably parade me around her enemies and freniemies.
I was tired of being her pawn. If I wasn't in front of her directly I could ignore her requests. This was my time and she knew that.
Sending her a quick response
Good Morning Grandmother.
I can't make. I apologize but I had already made plans that have me in a tight spot if I suddenly leave. It's also because of this school project I've been working on.
-Charlotte.Her response took sometime until it came in.
Do amazingly. The gala is not that important don't worry about it.
-Eloise.Mentally I was celebrating because I was too afraid to really celebrate. Sometimes in life you don't want to jinx your luck so I kept it in and started looking for dresses for dinner.
I wasn't going because I wanted to but because the look everyone gave him when he said he wouldn't ask anyone else to join him if I'm unable. He said he was willing to leave the seat open and I would test him.
No one around me knew I was going so as the girls got ready for the dinner I stayed dressed in sweats until they left with Ivan who then waved goodbye. I could tell he was stressed. They all left me all day which was odd since I expected them to stalk me until I agreed.
I sat in front of the mirror and my make up team and hair team did my hair and make up.
I wore a brand no one knew because I was that old money. New money brands were fun but I liked the silent wealth brands. It was an elegant off the shoulder red dress which I paired with my YSL heels to throw who ever off. My hair was wavy falling onto my back. My make up was subtle with a dark red lip.
Getting my car ready I held onto my invitation that had my name and bar code. Ivan gave it to me when he left with Stella and Adeline.
We arrived at the gate and the security scanned my invitation allowing us onto there property. My blood ran cold as I feared my grandmother's wrath as she would eventually find out where I went.
Jason my trusted driver and dearest friend dropped me off.
"Thank you Jas."
"My pleasure Char." nodding he left immediately, I walked up the stairs meeting everyone with surprised and shocked gazes.

Christopher FrostEveryone arrived but she hadn't arrived yet and there it was the feeling of bottomless pit forming within my stomach. Ivan arrived and I knew she didn't come and so I braced myself for the very first time I would get 'the talk'.
My thoughts surrounded me as I drowned in them as I could only imagine my grandmother chewing me out this time. Out of no where there was a silence that made me look up at the angel that walked onto the patio.
She smiled as she greeted all her friends. I felt like all the adrenaline I had in me disappeared making me lose energy. Her scent was strong as if she wanted her presence to be acknowledged.
That red dress made her shoulders look delicious. Her curves barely made an appearance in anything she wore but she made a statement with the way that dress fit her.
She was regal. She was perfect.
"Done analyzing?" she asked and apart of me couldn't believe she actually came.
