Back Story!
One Month Before Ayla's 19th Birthday
Ayla's POV (point of view)
It's the beginning of the year at Hudson Assassin Academy and our second year attending the school. The first year is about training you for the missions and ensuring you're ready; if you flunk that, you can't move on to the following year's classes because that's where you get assigned low-ranked missions.
After the first month of the second-year class, the top four get sent on a mission. That's going to be Stella, Sebastian, Finn, and myself. We've been in the top four of our first-year class and trained all summer to ensure we keep it that way!
I prepare for our first day of the school year by putting on a black tank top and cozy exercise pants. I put my long brown hair in a bun and grabbed my ice water bottle as I headed out of my room.
I head down the steps to the front of the school, waiting for my friends. Stella and Sebastian arrive together. We hug each other and then chat as we wait for Finn. We talked for about 10-15 minutes before he arrived.
Once Finn arrived, all four of us headed to the training room where our class was meeting up for the day. Once everyone was in the training room, my adoptive parents began to lead the class in training.
We trained from 9 am to 11:20 am. The class rested for 10 minutes before heading to the lunch room. We got our food, and I sat with my friends.
One Year Ago ~ Stella's POV
We are about one year away from Ayla's wolf transformation, and it's time to let her parents know she isn't human. I walk through the school halls down to their offices to meet with them.
"Hello, Miss and Mr. Hudson. There is information you need to know about Ayla, so please come with me."
They are hesitant and question me.
"What? You can tell us here; I don't see why moving to a new location is needed."
I close my eyes and transform into a Fairy.
"Come with me. The Light Queen wants to inform you of the world Ayla will be part of within the following year."
They are both shocked and left without words. I transform into my human body, and they follow me to the Queen's castle. We arrive at the castle, and they still haven't spoken. They were still shocked as I guided them to the Queen's throne room.
Ayla's Parents POV (Delphine & James)
We were shocked and unable to speak after she showed us her true form, but we knew we had to continue to know more about this world that Ayla would soon be a part of.
One Day Before Ayla's 19th Birthday
We've been able to help lots of Fae with dorm rooms.. Their powers are no problem since most of them are unaware of their nature, but that's soon to change as they get close to awakening who they are, just as Ayla is.
