A few months AFTER THE EVENTS OF CHAPTER 55...
"Eighteen weeks..." She muttered out to herself as she looked at the calendar before her, before looking down before her. Her bump was becoming quite noticeable and hard to hide whenever Naruto came to visit, which was a daily...thing. And somehow, the question never posed to him as to why she had been seemingly gaining weight. Maybe he was being respectful, or maybe Naruto was just still the downright clueless boy that he had always been.
She bit her lip as she marked the day off her calendar before her eyes quickly gazed over to her front door as she sensed a few presence nearing it. There had been a sense of serotonin that seemed to boost in her lately, solitude she had grown used to within her time in the cabin. A smile sprawled across her face as she went to open the door, but her guest had beat her to it.
"[Name]..We're here— Oh! You're already up, jeez.." It was Sakura and Hinata who had become regulars also alongside Naruto. "Ah...I was gonna cook breakfast." She grumbled out, as she noticed that the Hyuga-Uchiha had already cooked herself up something earlier before their arrival. "Sorry..." [Name] muttered out, as she placed a hand on her bump. "They were really hungry..." she then stated as Hinata let out a laugh.
Hinata had become a regular after the first few days of [Name] being back, and it was a surprise yet not much of a surprise to her to see her cousin come and visit her, but what really shocked her still was the lack of contact she had with Neji. It had been nearly five months and Neji had yet to come by.[Name] went on days wondering how exactly she could repair it when she wasn't allowed to go far and he ignored every attempt of contact she sent via messenger hawk or via Hinata.
"The garden is looking nice..!" Sakura commented, as it had been a habit [Name] picked up during her time at the cabin once counting the wooden tiles became boring. Sakura had been a supportive figure to her throughout the months and grew closer with [Name] as both a friend again and a caretaker. "Yeah...Shikamaru finally stopped putting his cigarette buds in the dirt..." She grumbled out in return, as she eyed the garden beds from the window to her right of the common space she stood in.
Kakashi's jonin duties had been fully reinstated a few weeks into her stay and was now a fully rotational guard alongside Shikamaru and a few others, as Tsunade had finally woken up and was later briefed on everything. She had immediately wished she was back bedridden upon all the housekeeping she had to catch up on due to the Hatake's lack of.
