(Summer: July)

(Circe's pov)

Thomas, Mattheo, Theodore, Nicholas, and I have been staying in this flat for a couple weeks. We had been sent here on a mission and given this place to stay while we were here so we didn't have to keep apparating back and forth everyday. All of the other younger Death Eaters were with their parents and family for the summer.

Suddenly Indu appeared in the middle of the room. I had told her about this place as soon as we got here and she visited a couple of times already since learning how to apparate. She glanced at me on the couch, next to Theodore and Mattheo and smiled at me. "Where is everyone else?" She asked. She also knew about the small little group of Death Eaters that I 'controlled'

"Thomas and Nicholas are in their rooms and everyone else is with their families"

"Does Nicholas not want to see his family?"

"His parents are dead so he practically lives alone- and I don't think he likes being alone" Theodore commented

Indu scrunched her eyebrows "How can he live alone, isn't he only 16?"

"His house elf cares for him and other relatives check in on him from time to time- really they only make sure he's alive"

"Hm" She looked down slightly. I got up and we walked down the hallway to my room.

The room was smaller than my one back home but it was still decently sized and everything looked more modern than back home. There was a queen size canopy bed with sheer black curtains hanging down, two nightstands on either side, a desk with some shelving above it, a bookshelf, a comfy chair, and a big plush rug covering most of the floor. I hung up my cloak and sat on the bed while Indu went to the windows and looked out.

"How are the girls?" I asked her

"They're good. Tamara has been helping me a lot with expanding my magic capabilities and Cade has been teaching me a couple other things. Overall they're pretty good" She kept it short. She had been staying at the place I had when I disappeared. They could provide her protection and skills that I couldn't. "How are your brothers and Theo?"

"They're ok, there's been some problems but we have each other to help"

She came closer and sat next to me, glancing down at my hands "You never told me where you got that ring from- I asked you last time and you forgot to answer"

"Oh" I grabbed the ring and fiddled with it. I still hadn't told her about this "It's uh an engagement ring"

"Engagement?" She looked up at me "To who?"

"Theodore" I looked away, she looked disappointed and slightly mad.

"When did this happen, I thought he was with Mattheo?"

"He is. Theodore did something and I wanted to save him so it was either get married or Theodore would die, and I didn't want him to die"

"What did he do?" She paused for a second before she let out a slight gasp "Did he kill his father?"

There had been a post in the newspaper about his death, but it didn't say how he died. "Not directly– can we please not talk about this right now"

She saw the pain and sadness on my face and dropped it "Yeah- sorry" Her voice had gotten softer. "I should probably go, I have to meet up with Tamara soon" She stood up and waved goodbye before she disappeared.
