Palace grinned, "Seriously? A vampire? Never fought a bloodsucker before!~" He chuckled, metal chains creeping out of the gray portals that he conjured around his body.

"And you won't fight this one." Christen said as he pushed past Leo and Palace.

The both of them looked surprised.

"I need the two of you to find out who're the threats that aim to silence my plans. I'll handle Nier myself." Christen explained as he walked to the blood manipulator.

Leo shrugged, "Whatever you say, Boss Man. Saves me the trouble. Come on, Palace!" Leo went to move, but the awakened Nier appeared in his path. He bared his blood-made claws before slashing.

"Wha—" Leo was quick enough to summon his barrier, if anything that happened instinctively. The clash lasted for a second before the shield started to crack before immediately breaking.

The sorcerer's eyes widened in surprise, 'My barrier...broke?!' Leo internally panicked with shock laced in his own thoughts. Nier slashed at the sorcerer again, but he was pushed away by Palace's chains. The chains pierced through the vampire's arms, but Nier showed zero signs of pain; he only hissed in annoyance as he glared at Palace.

Palace smirked, "Crucifixion." The chains had tangled around Nier's arms and legs, holding him up in the air. The demon enjoyed the sight, glancing back at Leo. "Didn't you hear Christen's warning? You have to bring your all for this, even if we're the ones who're retreating! I find it sad that we have to leave actually! I was looking forward to fighting this one!~" Palace smirk stayed present as the chains tightened around Nier's limbs.

"We should leave..." Leo said, taking Palace's hand as they teleported off.

Nier watched with bored eyes as the two men left the building in a flash. The only one left was Christen, standing straight with his sword drawn. The knight's cold expression no longer bothered the hung up vampire.

Christen looked at Nier's bored expression as he pondered once more.

"The Fourth Knight Of Khan is a Vampire, a rare race with strength that rivals mine. How...are you only the Fourth of the Khan?"

Nier growled, "You idiot. That blade has ruined your mental, huh? You forgot things, you hurt people you loved, and you became obsessed with power and authority. That's not the Christen that I knew of as a child." Nier eyes narrowed, "If I have to remind you, I will. I used a magic seal on my chest that blocked majority of my vampiric inheritance, which limited my magic and physical prowess. Though it was costly, it rid of my thirst for blood. It allowed me to live amongst humans, amongst you, Christ. And I have to admit, it was fun. Now, I don't understand what the hell's the matter with you. I only have that stupid sword to blame..."

Christen sighed, "Time has a way of bringing change. It's your fault for not knowing that."

Nier clicked his tongue, "I know that..." Nier said as he broke the chains that constricted him, landing on the ground with a wide grin.

Christen's face remained stoic, but there was a hint of surprise. "You let them leave?" The Dark Knight said, referring to Leo and Palace.

"The lackeys always fall apart when the leader isn't around to guide them, especially when they're used to it. Besides, you really think those two can fight a force that sent even me running back? You know better than that."

Christen scoffed as the flames of his blade got bigger, "I do not expect them to end the threat, but I do expect them to hold them. They both have passives and skills that'll keep them even no matter what threat comes over them."
