Anya slowly let go of her, maintaining eye contact. At this point, she didn't care who gossiped or recorded her.
Who is this hurricane? First, she stole her man. Then, she stole her life.
Sean's commanding voice brought her to the present from all the memories she had shared with her ex-fiancé, Emre.
"Party is inside. Get lost, all of you. Don't give me this look, arsehole. I don't depend on Daddy's money. Just take your car, Jack. No one gives a damn."
Taylor, Mona and Kiara joined her side as the onlooking crowd dispersed.
"Is there a room with privacy inside?" Anya asked, still looking at her.
"Yes, there is a Victorian living room on the second floor. I have the access key," Taylor replied.
"Do me a favour and get her there," Anya ordered and followed the crowd.
She can trust her girls to get the job done. They'll take Mona's car while she strolls to freshen her overworked mind. Many questions require truthful answers.
To begin with, she has met Love Venom twice. Both encounters will go down as some of the worst days of her existence.
Her boots crunched on the white gravel as she tightened the black blazer around her torso. Mona's car drove by, followed by Jack and Noah.
"Hey, wait for me," Sean announced, jogging to catch up to her.
Rolling her eyes, she asked, "Did he send you as my bodyguard?"
Smiling, he replied, "No, I volunteered. Some of the meanest people surround us."
"I'll punch anyone who'll dare to mess with me. This good girl has gone bad."
"If you're starting with Jack, I'll lend a hand. Never tolerated this arse."
"I meant your friend."
"Oh, to clarify, I had no clue she blackmailed him. He regrets."
"It's too late, Sean."
"It's never too late to fix it as long as you breathe."
Anya inhaled the crisp night air, lips curving at the corners. Sean distracted her like a pro until she reached the main door. News travelled fast as she became the centre of attention again. The old were too busy having intellectual business conversations. The youth side, on the other hand, judged her.
"Anyone say anything I don't like is getting kicked out of here," Sean announced.
They all looked away, resuming the gossip as she climbed all those stairs, keeping her head high.
"How do you scare them?" Anya asked.
"You've witnessed Noah's dark side. This one is mine. I'm good at threatening people. I never turn my back on a fight. I've spent a few nights in jail, too."
"Wow, lots of secrets coming out tonight."
Taylor waited on the second floor with two Mosaic Events employees. Both men had broad chests and big biceps. The cunning smile on her face revealed curiosity would kill the cat tonight.
French gilt mirror and crystal chandelier added elegance to this luxurious dark blue living room. The burgundy Persian rug covered more than half of the floor. It's almost a shame to walk upon it with dirty soles. Her two friends and cousin occupied the large upholstered sofa. Taylor rested her hand on the wooden armrest, staring at the culprit.
