The decision

This is the hardest decision she had ever made.

And she only had a few minutes to make it.

Option 1: she could run out of the plane and go to the boss and tell about the terrorists. She could, if she was fast, escape and warn the whole airport. She could call the cops, after bringing herself in safety. The cops would come and arrest the guys who were in the airplane when she arrived.

Those guys who just killed her colleagues right in front of her. But they don't know. Jane and her friend, Mary, always played card games and the one who lost, had to clean the toilets. Jane lost today. She was leaning over the stinking toilets that she had to clean when she heard the screams. She opened the door just enough so she could watch trough. And what she saw was so horrible she almost screamed. Almost. The room in front of her looked at if it was painted in red. Except that it wasn't paint, but blood. The lifeless bodies of my colleagues and friends lay on the ground. Some of them were shot, others had their head sliced off and some were just to nasty to talk about. Mary was looking in her direction, but she didn't have no eyes to see anymore. For a moment Jane thought that she was still alive, but than she saw the knife in her heart. Tears were streaming down her face but she didn't make a sound. Suddenly six big guys with mask came into the room. She closed the door and listened to every word they said. "The bombs are ready. There's one under the airplane and two on each wing. In the cockpit is the biggest one. Under the chair. We let Brad go as a pilot after we hide the corpses and he will press the button when they fly above the Stadium. At that moment, a thousand peoples will be watching at the premiere of the new play. The Stadium isn't that far from here, so the airplane will still be flying low, which will cause a grand explosion. As the Stadium is made from wood, it will burn." He said. She silently gasped. At that moment, her husband and four year old daughter would watch the play. It was a musical, and her daughter loved them, so Jake bought three tickets, even if they were so expensive. Unfortunately she had to work, so Jake would bring his sister instead. Phones were strictly forbidden for stewardesses. Passengers didn't like it when they saw an hostess on her phone the whole time, so all mobile devices are in our suitcases. She couldn't warn them. Then she heard that a other man began to talk:"And guess what? The president will attempt the play! Are we lucky or what?" They laughed and she fell sick. She had to do something. Then she heard the guys go to the cockpit, where they would discuss the details. She didn't have much time. Then she thought of her two options.

Option 2: When the terrorists come out and they least expect it, she could run to the cockpit, two feet away from the toilet, and press the button. They wouldn't have the time to realize what she would do, too astonished from the fact that she was here the whole time. They would run after her, but she knew she would be faster. They are all tall and large and she was small and thin. They could never shoot her if she ran at her fastest. She would die, but so would they. This airplane stands far enough from the airport, so no one else would get hurt. Passengers would only come in two hours. Avery, Jake and his sister would be safe. But Jane dies.

She thought about it, but couldn't make a choice. Be save, and maybe save a thousand people or be dead and save them all without fail. Then she realized something. It was her or her family. She or them. She or them. That made the problem a lot easier. Actually, this isn't the hardest decision she ever made. No, it's the easiest one. A peaceful smile appeared on her face. Her choice was made.

When she heard the men com back, she was ready.

The moment that they were far enough from the cockpit, she opened the door and ran. She heard them scream nasty things at her, but she didn't listen. When she was at the cockpit, she closed the door behind her and locked it. Then she calmly walked to the chair. The guys were knocking  on the door trying to open it. But she knew that the door was too strong. She turned the chair around and saw the bomb. The bomb that could've killed all those people. There were tears on her cheeks but she was smiling. She would save them. All those peoples will be alive because of her. She would die, but it was for a greater purpose. She was happy and she will die happy. She only wished that she could've said goodbye. But she knew Jake  and Avery would be okay. It might take some time, but then they will be able to continue their lives. She just hoped she wouldn't be forgotten. But actually all that didn't matter. What matters was that they would live. And, even if nobody will ever know, she would be a hero. "I'm so sorry, Jake. I love you. You take care of Avery, okay?" She whispered, even if she knew nobody could hear her. She took one last breath and did the last thing she had to do.

She pressed the button.
