Ava- Part 3

Turns out Felix did  know where he was going. We walked into class just a couple seconds before the bell rang. The teacher, Mr Dilred, looked up as we entered.

"Ava?" He asked in a knowing voice. I nodded as Felix went to go sit down in the back row of desks. He met my eyes and winked, but I ignored him. The desks in this classroom were in four neat lines, all facing the whiteboard. I looked around, but didn't recognize anyone else. Figures.

"You can sit over there," Mr Dilred said, pointing to one out of two empty seats. Internally, I was relieved- the other empty seat was next to Felix. He looked annoyed about it.

I went over to the seat. I was in between two boys. The one on the right looked sort of like Felix. That one had messy brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a light dusting of freckles. I noticed he was also wearing the same hoodie as Felix - Sunbeam Athletic Squad. They must be on the same team for something.

The boy on my left was blond, with deep brown eyes and freckles. He smiled at me as I sat down, which I appreciated. Mr Dilred clapped his hands to get our attention.

"Okay class, today you're going to continue working on our group projects. Ava, you can skip out on this one since we only have a couple more days of it. You can just help out with Aidan's group. Okay everyone, you have the rest of the class period to work. Get started!"

Aidan? Who the heck is Aidan?  I wondered. The boy with the Sunbeam Athletics hoodie turned to me and the blond boy.

"That's Aidan," said the blond boy, sensing my confusion. "I'm Spencer."

"Thanks, I'm Ava," I replied.

"Should we ask to work in the hallway?" Came a voice from behind me.  Wait a minute. I glanced over just to check... Yep. Felix was in Aidan's group. Along with some random girl. The girl had brown hair and was wearing a hot pink tank top. She barely glanced at me. Spencer shrugged.

"Yeah sure, I'll ask." He went over to Mr Dilred and asked him a question. We waited for him to get back.

"Hi again," Felix said quietly, smirking slightly at me. I rolled my eyes at him and he laughed.

The bell rang and I headed to my locker

The bell rang and I headed to my locker. I hadn't really done much for the project, mostly just sat and occasionally glued something onto the poster where they asked me to. Felix didn't talk to me as much since he was busy with the project, which I was thankful for.

I couldn't figure him out. He was cute, that was for sure. But the whole leaning-on-my locker thing was a bit weird. I shrugged to myself as I shoved everything back into my locker. Who cared?

Right now, I had a bigger problem... the school cafeteria. The most intimidating part of my first day, since I had no friends yet. Who could I possibly- *ding!*

I pulled out my phone and swiped up on the screen. Oh- a text.

Well, I guess that answered one question
