I woke up on the forest floor and smelled sweet spring flowers. I looked around and got up, seeing a sign with my face on it. I read it.
Lost 13 year old girl. If found please call 911.
Description:
Blue eyes
Blonde hair
Wearing yellow and white dress
Then at the very bottom was my picture the day before I ran away. I was beautiful. My hair was clipped with my star clip and I was wearing my beautiful white and yellow striped dress. I looked down and compared my clothes to the picture. My dress was middy and torn, I lost my hair clip, and my hair had twigs and leaves in it.
I heard police sirens. They grew louder and louder until they stopped near me. I layed down and pretended to not be awake.
" I found her!" A woman said. I felt arms wrap around me. Warmth filled my body. Her warm hands sent a feeling of comfort to me. She started walking back up the hill and up to a police car. I heard phones dialling and my brother answered one of them. I opened my eyes and pretended to just wake up.
" Are you-" she was cut off by another police officer.
" Honey, your brother wants to talk to you." He said. I felt a pang of guilt rise in my chest. I nodded and took the phone away. When I put it up to my ear I heard two different people sniffling and talking.
" H-hello?" I asked. I stuttered. That's a sign of me being nervous.
" Ray? Is that you?" He asked stuttering as well. I took a deep breath and replied.
" Yes." My brother sighed in relief and I could hear another person with him. " Who is with you?" I asked.
" Dad." He said. Oh yeah. That's why I ran away. Because of my brother forcing me to live with him.
" If you think I am coming back to that house to live with him you are sadly mistaken. " I said. I heard the phone shift and another voice answered.
" Honey, why do you hate me?" He asked. I was shocked. I was so surprised that he didn't even remember what he did.
" YOU LEFT ME AND MOM ALONE! YOU THINK MOM COULD HANDLE THAT?!" I screamed in the phone and hung it up. I got out of the car and saw police staring at me. When I grabbed my hair clip they found and started walking, I heard a car pull up.
No. It can't be. I heard a voice talk to an officer. Then footsteps towards me. No... No. No!!!
