I woke up in a hospital bed with IVs in me. I saw a clipboard next to me and read what was written.

Time and date of death:

6:00am

7-8-2012

Name:

Ray Sagura

" W- what?" I said. I saw a card next to me, many balloons all in different colors and no one else was in my room. I took the IV out of my arm and carefully got out of bed. I opened the door and poked my head out.

I saw my brother, a police officer and a nurse talking. I looked around and saw nobody was looking and snuck to the other side of the hallway. My brother looked towards my room and I saw his eyes were blood shot, his face red probably from crying, and then he looked away. I looked around once more and crossed the hallway and entered my room again. I climbed under the covers and sat there.

The door slowly opened and I bolted up, scared. I saw the door swing open, and my brother run in. Shortly after, the nurse and the officer came in. My brother scooped me up and hugged me tight. He looked at me with teary eyes and smiled through tears. The nurse whispered something and I heard what it was. Word after word.

" This is impossible! She has been out for a month and then pronounced dead!" I looked in shock and escaped my brothers arms.

" What?" I looked at them startled. Like a baby deer caught in the middle of the guns target.

" You've been out for a month and then found dead." The officer replied. And the deer got shot.

" What?! Wait what about mom? Where is she? Is she here?" I ran out of the room and out into the hallway.

" Mom!" My call echoed down the empty corridor. No response came. I sunk to the floor and collapsed into a fit of crying and hiccups.

" She thinks your dead. And she-" he was caught mid sentence and had a hand on his shoulder.

"Not yet." The nurse said. My brother nodded and got up. He scooped me into his arms and carried me back into my room. He layed me on my bed, put the IV bck in my arm and said

" I love you." And with that, I drifted back to sleep.
