"The rooms have been chosen by choice of the contestants themselves. You'll be staying with your respective roommates for a whole week before the lounge and other areas re-open. Till then, members of different rooms will avoid contact through any means," Misul announced, by reading through a set of rules.

"That's right, and this set of rooms shall be maintained throughout," Yubin added.

"Starting with room 01 we have - Nari, Jihye, Elliot and Jaehyun."

"In room 02 we have - Kai, Minho, Doah and Wonya."

"Room 03 consists of - Sooyun, Asher, Pamela and Eunro."

"In Room 04, AJ, Audrey, Jake and Jia shall be residing."

"In Room 05 we have - Chanmi, Zen, Nokoa and Yuwon."

The contestants moved to their respective rooms, all pumped up for an exciting week ahead. It was Sunday so technically they got to see their non-roommates the next Sunday.

"Hello," Jihye entered the room. She's been wearing a lovely lace-driven white dress, looking absolutely breathtaking. The members seemed to have been equally awestruck when she entered. "Oh, welcome Jihye, I'm Jaehyun," he offered his hand for a handshake.

"Hi guys," Nari entered, ravishly. She was wearing a casual, tight-fitting cami top and a pair of light-washed jeans.

"I think someone is left," Jaehyun looked at the door expectantly. To his surprise, a minute later, a guy all dressed up in a black tuxedo entered from the door. "I'm running late aren't I?" Elliot laughed.

NEXT DAY

It was a bright, sunny morning. With a warm and undertone temperature of 25 degrees outside, the contestants were all dressed up in their summer suits and waited for the hosts to announce the first challenge back at the mansion.

Misul and Yubin walked in, the cue cards in their hands and their faces with bright, big smiles. They sat on the opposite sofa to where the contestants sat and exchanged greetings for the day.

"Has there been anything exciting so far?" Misul asked while fixing the collar of his shirt as Yubin looked at the contestants expectantly.

"Nothing so exciting but I already met some unpleasant faces here," Doah rolled her eyes.

"As if you're not the unpleasant one between us," Eunro added, scoffing at the statement.

Minho cleared his throat, "Honestly I came here to move on from whatever past I might have had, but the showmakers don't seem to favor my decision as much I think."

"Oh please, stop with your diplomacy already. We all know how much you've seemed to move on, your wallpaper still seems to have my face on it," Doah snapped and earned a loud 'Oh' and certain claps from the others.

Minho didn't respond and kept a neutral face. Wonya raised her hand and Yubin gestured for her to speak up.

"It was nice seeing Zen again," she smiled at the guy who was a bit surprised by the sudden gesture but still smiled back at her. "And also meeting Kai, he's a hotshot," she whispered-yelled the last part and everyone besides Kai seemed to have heard it.

"Kai, do you have any insights to share? Someone you have been bonding with?" Misul asked teasingly.

"I mean..." he hesitated, "I've been bonding with Pamela," he chuckled, blushing slightly in the process.

Pamela nodded hearing him. "I've been teaching him the art of cooking," she air-quoted the phrase and chuckled. The lovey-dovey couple seemed to have added a romantic angle to the atmosphere, but clearly someone wasn't liking it.

"Art of cooking, huh?" Wonya repeated in the same tone as Pamela, "Who talks like that? What is she, his wife?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes at her.

Eunro, who had been witnessing the horrid situation, almost burst into laughter. "Careful Wonya, don't roll your eyes too hard, they might bulge out."

"Cooking, hm? So how many of us know cooking here? Raise your hands, let's see," Yubin rubbed her hands excitedly. Zen, Doah, Pamela, and others were the ones who raised their hands.

"So the majority?" Misul confirmed.

"Well, that would be an asset because..." Yubin smiled.

"WE HAVE A COOKING CHALLENGE TODAY!" Both the hosts excitedly announced.

The contestants looked at each other, their eyes bulging out. Those who had no idea about cooking started to sweat like there was no tomorrow - it was as if their worst nightmare had come to life.

"How about you all pair up first and then we announce the challenge?" Misul suggested and everyone got to work. After about half an hour or so, everyone seemed to have paired up and were ready with their aprons, chef hat, and obviously their partner.

The teams were composed of the following pairings; Kai and Pamela, Eunro and Doah, Elliot and Wonya, AJ and Jihye, Chanmi and Zen, Jia and Minho, Nari and Nokoa, Jake and Audrey, Sooyun and Asher, and finally, the siblings Yuwon and Jaehyun.

"Odd pairings but this is going to be exciting," Misul whispered.

"I know right?" Yubin laughed.

"Alright guys, so the cooking challenge will have only one round. This round will be around 3 hours! The agenda is to make a dish that is special to either you or your partner. It can be a traditional dish, a fast food recipe, or anything-"

Asher cut Misul off, mid-sentence. "Can we bake?" he asked excitedly.

"Yes, you can."

"The criteria of judgment will be based on idea delivery, chemistry during the challenge, and of course, the main dish and taste," Yubin announced, proudly, "One of the partners will first pick the main ingredients and then the challenge will begin. You'll get 3 minutes to pick the ingredients."

"3 MINUTES?"

The hosts shrugged, hinting it was indeed not going to be an easy challenge. They led the participants to the front of the mansion, where five large market food trucks were parked, providing them with everything and anything they would need to create their dishes.

"And your time begins now - 3,2,1, go!" The whistle blew and one of the partners from each of the ten teams ran through to grab the ingredients for their dishes.
