Optimus stood next to the hospital bed, politely pretending to pay attention as a doctor explained all the little, unimportant details of Optimus's repaired injuries. Recovery Girl had already fixed them up before they got here, but it was customary to visit the hospital for serious things like a broken rib, or a broken wrist, or when the skin on the back was ripped off. There was a little damage remaining, but so long as Ratchet wasn't here, Optimus didn't need to care.
Present Mic came by and dropped off some clothes for Optimus while he was visiting Mr. Aizawa, and he volunteered to drive Optimus back to UA, but Optimus declined. He had somewhere else to be.
"Alright, well, that's all," thet doctor told him. "Do you have any questions?"
"No, but thank you," Optimus smiled lightly.
The doctor nodded and held open the door for Optimus. The Prime looked around and saw some of his classmates in the hallway near the waiting room. He would have preferred to go the other way and take the stairs down to the bottom floor, but he pushed aside his bruised pride and approached them.
"Optimus!" Ashido ran over and hugged him. "Everything okay?"
"Yes, thank you," Optimus told her. "How are the others?"
"Well, with Midoriya, I'm sure you can guess," Ashida rolled her eyes playfully. "You already know about Mr. Aizawa, of course, and then everyone else is okay, minus some minor injuries, burns, scratches, bruises—nothing serious."
Ashido led Optimus into the waiting room. "Hey, look who finally got cleared!"
"Took you long enough!" Kirishima exclaimed. "We were starting to think you got hurt or something out there."
"Yeah, it's hard to tell under all of the armor," Iida pointed out.
Optimus shook his helm. "No, I'm fine."
Todoroki tilted his head. "I heard you went head to head with the Nomu that injured All Might. You came out unscathed?"
Optimus didn't like to lie, but he couldn't be weak either. Leaders were strong. He opened his intake to come up with an excuse or something, but Mineta beat him to it.
Mineta got up and walked toward Optimus. "Lets go look at naked patients."
"What?" Optimus felt the short boy pull on his servo.
"There he goes again," Tsu croaked. "Keep an eye on him, Optimus."
Mineta yanked Optimus into the hallway and headed for the stairs.
"Mineta, where are we going?"
He didn't say anything in reply, only pulling Optimus further down the stairs and then stopping once they were alone.
"I was there," Mineta started. "Midoriya and Tsu might have been distracted by that guy trying to kill us, but I saw you fighting the Nomu, and I stayed with you after you sent them away. You got hurt."
Optimus frowned. "I don't understand why this is relevant."
"But you're perfect boyfriend material," Mineta explained. "Not only are you attractive, muscular and tall, but you're mysterious, modest, and assertive. The perfect guy. I have a business proposal for you."
"Business?" Optimus leaned back. "I'm not sure I'm entirely aware of human currency systems yet."
"Whatever you just said, I don't understand," Mineta told him. "Now listen closely. I'm going to be your wingman, your partner in crime, your sidekick, okay? You just keep on making yourself cool, I'll help you out, and while all the ladies are ogling you, I can get as much eye candy as I want. Sound good?"
