I PREFER BRUNETTES

---

We then watched a few more movies. Less scary ones, because Lisa and Marcus were pretty scared.

"Uh, I'm quite sleepy," Lena yawned.

"Mac, darling, wake up, we're going to bed," Annie started waking Marcus, who had apparently fallen asleep.

Lisa and Lena stood up, and so did Martinus and I. While Martinus helped them unfold the couch, I went to take a shower. After the shower, I changed and did my night skincare routine because after today, I'm going to have wrinkles and gray hair. Then I let down my dark brown hair and brushed it out. I left the bathroom afterward.

"Is it okay if you sleep under a blanket?" Lena asked, pointing to the blanket she was holding.

"Sure," Annie said and took it.

I slowly went to the room while the others went to take showers.

"Good night!" I shouted.

"Good night to you too, Sar!" Annie shouted back and gave me a thumbs-up. Great support, but I'm not making any moves, tonight. I sat on the bed, and meanwhile, Martinus returned.

"Are you really okay with this?" he asked, and we both looked at our bed. It actually looked quite big, so we'll definitely sleep peacefully.

"Yes, Tinus," I said and wanted to cover myself. That's when I realized we only had one blanket.

"Oh," I heard Martinus' disappointment and looked at him. He had also discovered that we only had one blanket.

"It doesn't matter," I laughed nervously and lied down on the bed. Martinus lied down too. We stayed lying down in awkward silence, and I just hoped he couldn't hear how loud my heart was beating and how my palms were sweating.

"Rate today from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best," he said and turned to me.

"Uhm, 2?" I looked at him.

"Just 2?" He raised an eyebrow, surprised. "You know you're sleeping in a bed with Martinus Gunnarsen," he laughed. Oh, right. I shook my head and laughed too.

"Well... how much would you rate it?" I asked.

"Hmmm, at least a 4," he thought.

"Because you're spending time with your blonde friends?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Pfh, stop it, Sar, I prefer brunettes," he said and turned around. "Good night," Uh...

"Good night," I turned around too and turned off the light. Not even five minutes passed, and my phone started beeping.

"Damn..." I mumbled and grabbed my phone. I hoped it didn't wake Martinus.

"Who's texting you this late at night?" he asked, turning to me.

"Oh, my Tinder match," I raised an eyebrow and unlocked my phone.

"Tinder match? You're on a dating app?" he laughed and moved closer. We both read the message from the user jamesmattew.

Hi beautiful!

"Cringe," Martinus remarked. "You can't be serious about replying to him, Sar. He could be some creep," he frowned.

Hi :)

And so our conversation continued.

"Oh my god, Martinus, he has seen Attack on Titan!!" I shouted excitedly.

"Sarah, that's enough," he suddenly snatched my phone and placed it on his nightstand.

"Hey, you're not my parent, give it back!" I turned over and tried to reach his nightstand, but he just grabbed my hand and flipped me under him as if I were a feather. When his face appeared right in front of mine, I just lied there motionless, I even stopped resisting. He looked directly into my eyes, seeming furious. The room was dim, and the only light was from the moon, which meant the whole sky must have been beautifully visible. I swallowed and held my breath. "Are you angry?"

"No, but it's time to sleep," he said and let go of me.

Heya!

This part I probably rewrote the most. I had to delete the whole bathroom scene because it didn't fit the story anymore after I decided Sarah wouldn't argue with Lisa since it didn't make sense... Also, I had to replace Jacob Sartorius because it felt too cringe to include him. I don't understand why my younger self thought it was such a great idea. :D
