Lance simply wants to spend time with his girlfriend, if only he could distract her from her work.

*******

After figuring out he loved her, the Cuban did everything to make her realize just how greatly amazing he was, in hopes of making her fall for him. However, ever since he started dating Pidge, Lance learned that he yearned even more for her attention than he ever did before. During training, on missions, while eating and relaxing.

Shockingly, she didn't even seem to mind, so all was fine.

Once more, the boy was on his way to Green's hangar, where he would hopefully be able to spend time with his girlfriend of about five phoebs.

Lance still couldn't believe the genius girl actually loved him back. This crush surprised him at the beginning. Everyone knew that Pidge didn't fit the requirements the girls he usually flirted with checked. But there was just a thing about her that drew him in, from the moment they met at the garrison.

He couldn't understand why he wanted to get closer to her so badly.

When he found out she was a girl- being the only one who didn't realize still embarrassed even if Pidge said she didn't mind- something flashed in his brain. He ignored it, that feeling wasn't the one he was used to.

There was something so mesmerizing about her. It was inexplicable.

Seeing the smile on her face that day at the space mall, when they bought the game they had totally legally obtained the money for it, Lance was immediately horrified with his thoughts. Not that they were lewd or anything, it was just that... she looked absolutely adorable. Has she always looked that way? He couldn't remember. How could he not realize?

Quiznack. Just pondering about it makes his cheeks turn red.

Pidge was definitely different from his other failed conquest. Her kind of beauty was more subtle than these tall girls with flowy hair. The many freckles on her body, the way her eyes shined when she discovered a new type of technology, her cute laugh, even the uncontrollable one that made her fall off her chair more than once...

Lance loved the fashion in which she would hold the bottom of his shirt when she was too tired to register where she was walking. The quick frown that appeared on her face when she tasted something new she liked. How she would stick out her tongue or bite her lips when she was concentrating, she would even quietly (and probably unconsciously) sign when she was deep in thoughts.

Had he always been that attentive of other people's habits?

Anyway, right now he had finally reached the hangar and observed her as she worked on one of her projects, staring at her computer with her headphones covering her ears. Not giving him an ounce of interest, that just wouldn't do. No matter how many times he tried calling her name, she didn't acknowledge him, not even once.

Just how loud was her music? He needed to remind her to make sure she didn't damage her eardrums.

Quietly- not like she would have heard him if he made any noise- he approached her from behind, already smirking at the idea of successfully jump scaring her. It was undoubtedly going to work this time!

Totally opposite to the outcome of the other tries before...

His hands were centimetres from her headphones and Lance was confident she was unsuspecting. So, he quickly grabbed them, took them off her ears and screamed (not too loudly, mindful of how often she got headaches) "BOO!"

Absolutely no reaction except a bored expression thrown his way. Well... that's a tad awkward.

"Please tell me I surprised you at least a little bit." She shook her head. "Lance, I could see you get closer in the reflection of my computer screen." Oh. "So why didn't you stop what you were doing to greet me, your amazingly loving boyfriend?" She simply shrugged at his question, turning around to go back to work, hoping he couldn't notice the blush on her face. "What do you think you're doing?" said Lance jokingly, retaking the headphones from her smaller hands.
