It had now been two times in a row in which we were interrupted by our island investigation to be given our motive. It's not a good sign. Not that anything in this game is a good sign. Inside the lobby was a table with a variety of different shaped goblets. All filled with drinks, it was easy to notice there was exactly one for each of us
Eiji: ayyup, is this meant to relate to me?
Outside of our group I noticed both Rin and Mai. Rin had some very closed body language. Likely to make it impossible to speak with her. Mai also made it harder to speak with although it was due to instead, a glare in my direction. It was clear neither felt like joining our group
Moneko: a pleasure to see you all again. As you can all see, I have just finished preparing the next motive. I would recommend no one drinks anything until I finish my explanation
Renjiro: well go on then, do it
Moneko: as I will. You see I was thinking of celebrating the fact that we had hit unlucky number 13 on the remaining players in this game however while I was making a delightful cocktail for you all I had a rather ironic unlucky fall. It led me to pour a tonic into the jug with the liquid. Deciding it meant nothing I served the drinks anyway
Cho: that's a rather big explanation isn't it?
Yuji: it's likely to not even be true anyway, this was most definitely a part of the plan
Moneko: whatever it was, I now present to you. Blind Drinks Bluff
Rin: how does the motive work?
Moneko: I'm so glad it was you who asked Rin. The recent recluse of the group
Rin: only speak what I asked, I don't care what else you have to say
Moneko: such fire to your words, it's not surprise truly. But yes I will tell you. All 13 of you must pick a goblet, I don't particularly care which you pick but once you have you must drink from it. From there well, some of you will feel some very odd effects
Yasa: w-what kind of e-effects?
Moneko: you will find out, what I am say is that it won't affect only one person nor will it affect everyone. More info will be given when the effect starts. Do have fun
With that the group went around and picked goblets. Some went for intuition
Yuji: silver, a colour of good fortune I believe
Others went for personal preference
Decebal: ha ha, this blue and red is the true sign of heroicness. It shall be my one
Meaning someone went against the norm
Cho: are you sure the skull is a good idea Eiji?
Eiji: I reckon it's like reverse psychology yeah? No one wants that one so it musta been a good one
In the end I ended up with a plain gold one. It seemed everything was set for us to drink except...
Sayori; hey Renjiro!
Renjiro: what's wrong? Yours is all encrusted in jewels and I love me some jewels
Sayori: but I picked that one, I have to drink from it
Moneko: I don't particularly mine swapping
Sayori: even so it is still the one I picked
Rnejiro; well it's mine now, you can have my purple one. It's more a girly colour anyway
Shingo: I'm not quite sure that's something still said
Sayori: whatever
With everyone with a goblet. We all had our drink, the taste was...odd to say the least. It wasn't fruity nor was it pungent. I'd probably drink it again if I was offered but with this motive? No chance
