- Truth Set Free -

Haechan lets go of Eun-ji and strides toward Yerin, a visible tremor of fear in her eyes with each step he takes closer. Bending down, Haechan's breath grazes her neck, and he whispers into her ear, "Welcome to the other side, princess. See you around." With those words, he steps back, brushing past her shoulder as he vanishes into Seoul's dark embrace.

It has been months since the last encounter of the mafia leader, Haechan.

Yerin was busy stacking canned food on the shelves when the bell rang, signaling a customer's entrance. An elderly man stepped inside, badly hurt and groaning in pain as he collapsed to the floor. Soobin, who was behind the counter, rushed toward the old man. "Sir, are you alright?" Soobin asked, his concern evident.

The elder man looked at Soobin with helpful eyes. "I have been shot" the elder man admitted as he clutches his leg. Soobin and his quick-witted brain tore off his apron belt and tide it above the shot wounds to stop the pressure. The elder man groans in pain as he falls unconscious the pain unbearable for his age.

Yerin walks down the aisle pathway as she checks the prices of the goods are correct. Yerin takes out the price tagging machine, as she fixes them, by the last price she ran out of stickers. She walks to the counter as her blood ran cold by the scene in front of her.

A bloody old man dead on the floor in a freaking convenience store. That's it, this store is cursed. "Why is there a dead elderly man on the floor, Soob's?" Yerin asks as she was getting sick by the sighting. Soobin slight turned his head towards Yerin, terror in his eyes evident.

"He got shot, and he is not dead, he just fell unconscious" Soobin said as he gently tried to move the elderly man to a comfortable position, being careful of his leg injury. "Oh, wow, great. That's so wonderful" Yerin said sarcastically as she claps her hands.

"What if Mr. Kim sees this, all the costumers will never come here, and we will have no job" Yerin said her anxiety rising. Soobin face soften, he walks to Yerin as he hugs her. "Don't worry Yerin. Everything will work out" Soobin assured her.

"What in the world of bloodbaths is this?" Mr. Kim spoke as his eyes was stuck on the elderly man who had blood over him, laying on the floor, unconscious, as he came out his office to check the commotion.

"We can explain"

It's been two days since the accident of the elderly man who was shot in the leg and fell into unconsciousness. The convenience store "2forFoods" what once was a food store was now a crime scene. The elderly man was sent to hospital to check for any major injuries then just the shot wound.

Yerin stood in front of the convenience store with an ice cream in hand.  Her mother alongside her as they take in the scene. "Oh, poor thing" Eun-Ji said as she faces her daughter. "At least they didn't shoot you"

Wait, What...?!

Yerin looked at her mother in shock. "What do you mean 'at least they didn't shoot me'? And who are they?" Yerin asked as she was confused. Eun-Ji looked at her daughter as she sighed.

"You are not ready for that, but I can tell you this, I am a member of a mafia gang called 'Bulletproof' and that boy you met months ago was involved with our mission" she spoke exposing the truth.

Yerin was in disbelief. Her mother who she thought was innocent and sick most of her life was healthy as ever and is part of a mafia. "Why tell me this now?" Yerin angrily asked as she faced her mother looking into her eyes.

Eun-Ji gazes soften as she saw her daughter's fury eyes burning into her soul. "It was about protecting you" she said as she looked away looking at the convenience store full of detectives, policemen & woman.

"Protecting me from what, and whom?" Yerin asked, her voice growing colder with each word. "From a group known as NEO CULTURE TECHNOLOGY, or NCT. They're very dangerous, being Seoul's number one mafia group of all time," Eun-ji replied seriously, placing her hand gently on her daughter's shoulder.

"Mom, you cannot be serious" Yerin looked at her mom. "Indeed, I am, Yerin" Eunji said meeting her daughter's gaze.
