No one's POV

It had been a day since Porchay last saw the mysterious man, Mark, and all he could do now was wait. The waiting felt endless, and the uncertainty gnawed at him. Where was Mark? What did he even want from him? Porchay had no idea where to start his search, and the thought of confronting Mark made his chest tighten with both anticipation and fear.

With a tired sigh, Porchay allowed his thoughts to drift once more, trying to find a solution in the maze of his mind. However, his thoughts were interrupted by a small voice that snapped him back to reality.

"Big bro, are you okay?"

Porchay frowned slightly before focusing on the source of the voice. It was Minnie, standing in the doorway with a concerned expression on his young face. The small boy's round cheeks puffed slightly as he stood there, fidgeting with his hands.

"Sorry, big bro, did I scare you?"

Chay couldn't help but smile at the boy's cuteness, the worry etched on his face only adding to his innocence. "Don't worry, Minnie. I'm fine—just lost in thought, that's all. You don't need to apologize," he reassured him, reaching out to gently pat his head.

Minnie's face brightened almost instantly, his bunny-like teeth showing as he smiled. "Okay! Dad's calling you for dinner."

"Dinner already, huh?" Porchay blinked, surprised by how fast time had passed. "Let's go then." He stood and took Minnie's small hand, and together they headed toward the dining hall. The walk through the Huang household felt comfortable, familiar even. Though modest in size compared to mansions he'd heard of, there was a warmth to the place, the kind of homeliness that made Porchay feel at ease.

When they arrived, Mr. Huang—Wei-Fen—was just finishing setting the table, carefully placing the last dish with practiced hands. As soon as he saw them, he smiled warmly. "Come on, take your seats. I made some of Minnie's favorite dishes tonight."

Minnie jumped excitedly into his seat, his eyes twinkling at the sight of food. "Mmm, Dad, this looks amazing!" he exclaimed with a full mouth after his first bite.

"Minnie," Wei gently chided, though the affection in his voice was obvious, "you know you shouldn't talk with your mouth full."

Minnie gave a nervous grin, quickly chewing and swallowing before offering an exaggerated apology, which made Porchay chuckle quietly.

While the conversation flowed naturally between the Huang family, Porchay found himself lost in thought once again. Despite the lighthearted atmosphere, his mind kept drifting back to Mark. There were too many unanswered questions, and the longer he stayed without confronting them, the more uneasy he became.

He was pulled from his thoughts by Wei-Fen's soft voice. "Son, are you okay?"

Porchay blinked and realized that Wei was looking at him, concern in his eyes. "Yes, I'm perfectly fine, Mr. Wei," Porchay answered softly, though it was clear from the older man's expression that he wasn't fully convinced.

"If you ever need to talk about anything, you know I'm here, right?" Wei said, his voice carrying a warmth and sincerity that only made Porchay's heart ache more.

"Thank you, Mr. Wei," Porchay said, offering a small smile. He was grateful, but he knew only one person had the answers he needed, and that was Mark—the very person he had no idea how to find.

After dinner, Porchay was about to excuse himself when Minnie grabbed his hand tightly, tugging him toward the living room. "Big bro, you're staying with us tonight, right?" Minnie asked, his wide eyes full of hope.
