||18||

An: So two things, 1. A lot of characters might start disappearing due to irevalance (idk how to spell 😭)and 2. this is probably the last Hazel chapter because I don't know how to continue her story for now!

The first half on the day dragged on, I counted the hours until lunch, until I got to see Frank. After what felt like an eternity I heard the lunch bell ring and rushed out of class to the cafeteria.

"Hey Frank," I exclaimed when I arrived. Annabeth gave me a look and I realized how obvious I was acting. "Hey Annabeth, wheres Percy?"

"Right here," said Percy behind me causing me too jump.

"Holy shit don't scare me like that," I pretended to clutch my chest.

I sat down next to Frank trying to stop myself from blushing when he brushed my arm. I kept looking away from everyone. The only time I've ever felt like this was back in Alaska with Sammy. I felt a tapping on my arm and I saw Frank beckon me to follow hime out the cafeteria, I have to jog to catch up but we end up in one of the back corners of the library where I notice to girls making out very loudly two rows over.

"Hi," I said rocking on the balls of my feet.

"Hey," responded Frank playing with the strings of his hoodie. "So uh Hazel there's something Ive been dreaming of asking you for a while..."

I nodded feeling the warmth creep up my neck into my cheeks. I try to speak but it comes out as a squeak.

"Listen Hazel, I like you, like a lot and I was wondering if you would uh potentially like to maybe go on a uh date with me?"

"That, that would be amazing I would like that, I uh Im free Wednesday and uh Saturdays I guess." I exclaimed louder than I meant to. "But Im never that busy so any day works if I shift around one or two things."

"How about Wednesday, we could catch a movie and go out for supper?" Asked Frank shoving his hands into his pockets.

"I'd love that, we should head back to the cafeteria though," I suggested. "We don't want the others to think you kidnapped me."

Frank nodded and we headed out separate ways. On my way out I passed the two girls who were making out only to notice a familiar face.

"Piper? What are you doing I thought you had a boyfriend?" I said in shock. I was 99% certain that Piper said Jason was her boyfriend.

"Shit Hazel, uh so could you maybe like uh not tell Jason. We could talk about this I dunno later?" She asked looking nervously around. I noticed that Piper grabbed the other girls hand. "Listen I can't have anyone know, y'know my dad is kinda a movie star so I can't let this get out please." I saw how Piper begged and I felt bad, I bit my lip unsure what to do.

"Fine, I won't tell anybody but just, I won't tell anyone..." I agreed reluctantly. I knew this was wrong but I didn't know what else I could do. I watched as Piper let out sigh of relief as a jog off. Once I was far enough I heard the moaning begin again and gagged a bit.

The moment got home from school on Wednesday I quickly showed and put on a white dress. Right as I finished my makeup I heard the doorbell ring.

"Uh Hazel Franks here, wow what are you wearing," he said his mouth open slightly.

"Well uh so I kinda forgot to mention Frank and I are going on a uh date," I squeak, biting my lip I wait for a reaction.

"Okay then... I just need to talk to Frank for a quick moment outside." Thankfully Nico seemed calm enough.

After about 10 minutes Nico and Frank walk back inside and Frank takes me to his car. As he starts driving I'm unable to look away, thankfully he at least tries to act like he doesn't notice. I put my hand in the centre console and soon enough he puts his giant hand over mine and rubs his thumb in circles causing me to get more flustered.

"We're here!" He exclaimed as we pulled into a fancy looking greek restaurant.

When we step inside a waiter comes up and leads us to a table, we both get waters and look at the menu. When the waiter asks for our orders Frank orders a gyro and so do I. We sit in silence for a bit, I play with my straw and he rapidly checks his watch. Finally our food arrives and I immediately unfold my gyro and eat it like a salad.

"Thats one way to eat a gyro," said Frank with a chuckle.

"Got a problem with it?" I asked discreetly throwing a small piece of bread at him.

"Nah that actually is smart," he exclaimed laughing.

After we finished we drive to the cinema to watch a new cheesy rom-com that I heard a few people talk about. I settle down next to Frank and snuggle into him with a quiet, content, sigh. About halfway through the movie Frank throws a piece of popcorn at me.

"Hey what was that for!" I whisper shouted, elbowing him lightly.

"You threw stuff at me earlier," he said jokingly. I scrunch up nose and pretend to give him a look. It took a ton of will power for us both not to burst out laughing.

As Frank escorted me to the front door I noticed my dad was home, I felt the breath hitch in my throat. "Are you able to stay outside I forgot to tell my dad I was going out." I hated lying but I really liked Frank and I didn't want him to see my dad drunk.

"Of course no problem, call me later if something happens." He reassured. I nodded and leaned up to kiss him before darting inside.

The house was suspiciously quiet so I peeked into the living room where my dad was laying on the ground with what looked like crusting wine on his hands. I didn't know wine could crust over like how it was. I heard the shower running and I knock on the door.

"Im back and heading to bed," I whisper yell into the washroom.

"Kay sleep well," says Nico.

Before heading to get ready I wipe wine off the bathroom handle. I headed to my room and got ready for bed, unfortunately before going to bed I needed to message Piper what I witnessed earlier.

Haze: Piper we need to talk.

Pips: let me gues this abt rhe library earlier

Haze: Exactly that, I know its late so if you're tired right now we can talk tomorrow.

Pips: Sounds god by Haze im tired.

Haze: Bye.

I groan in frustration, first Piper doesn't tell me anything and her typing is atrocious, Im y to respond quickly but it take forever to read what she's writing. I look at the time and realized it was 11:26 and sigh, I wanted to add a few finishing touches to my art piece for school but ultimately decided against it. I get under my comforter and I hear my door click open.

"Hey Hazel how was the date?" Nico asked as he entered my room.

"It was great, I'm almost certain were going to go on another!" I exclaimed happily.

"So I don't need to share words with Frank, good. Well Im not gonna keep you up g'night," says Nico as he left.

"Good night," I respond going to sleep.
