"Hello, Earth to Juls?" She heard a voice calling for her.
"Huh?" Julia responded deliriously to the familiar voice.
She soon realized the voice calling for her was Jungwon.
"Dude, you spaced out. We're about to head into the gift shop." Jungwon looked at her confused wondering what she could possibly be thinking about.
"Oh it's nothing." Julia continued following her friends into the gift shop.
Jungwon could only sigh before doing the same.
They all scattered around looking for various gifts for their loved ones.
A mid-size penguin plush caught Julia's eyes. "This is perfect for Sunghoon." She thought.
By the time Julia and her friends finished shopping, the sun had already set. They were all ravenous and in need for some food.
"I'm starving." Haerin groaned.
"That makes the both of us." Jay expressed.
"Instead of standing here and starving, why don't we just go to JYP's diner?" Julia requested to the 4 of them.
They all nodded in agreement.
At the diner JYP greeted them with warm welcomes and sat them right away. They all got their usual. Jay, a burger and fries. Jungwon, fried chicken and waffles. Haerin, a chicken salad and onion rings. Hanni, a club sandwich. And lastly, Julia got her favorite breakfast food of all time, hashbrowns. Of course the meal wasn't complete without chocolate sundaes.
Julia sits back as the others chat about upcoming plans and funny childhood memories. Their laughs and cheers rang a sense of happiness that filled the whole restaurant. It was a moment they would all cherish for the rest of their lives. Despite the time being just seven, the moon began to rise from its sleep. Julia feels an intertwining, dwindling feeling in her stomach as she knew that their annual shopping tradition would soon be gone. Jungwon pierces through her eyes as he knows something is wrong with Julia. However, he already knows why Julia was so reserved as he felt the same way she did.
"Juls, why don't we go outside and talk for a bit?" Jungwon asked.
"Mm okay." Julia replied confusingly but she was intrigued on what Jungwon had to say.
Out of all of friends, Jungwon understood and checked on Julia the most. He was like another older brother to her. He was the friend she would talk to about her concerns if she couldn't tell Sunghoon. She had a lot on her mind so she figured that Jungwon could be a shoulder to lean on.
Jungwon opened the diner door leading Julia to the corner of the restaurant.
"Sooooooo, what's up?" Jungwon tried asking in a cool manner.
"Nothing much." She uttered before trying to avoid eye contact with Jungwon's brown boba-like eyes.
Jungwon clicked his tongue because he immediately knew that she was lying to him.
