THIRD TRY IS A CHARM , RIGHT ?

CHAPTER 02

Cecilia (cale) pov :

We both enter the dinning room , getting greeted by my so called 'dad' , maaan, I miss eruhaben-nim and fredo , they are so much better at parenting
" good morning cale, good morning honey "
" good morning deruth "
"Good morning father "
We got served delicious food,  as expected , beacrox's cooking never seases to impress me , mom and father had conversation about different topics , politics, weather , food .... what bothers me is that mom is th eone who starts the conversation, and deruth is just listening and wants to Finnish quickly,  I guess he's too dumb to realize that his wife is already aware of his unloyalty . He was the first to finish his breakfast , he excused himself and went out of the mansion , probably to violan , and left us alone in the dinning room , just me and mother
" cece, are you mad at the other miss ?" She suddenly asked
" sigh, no I'm not , she isn't to blame , well, she is wrong , but the principal problem is HIM " I say as I stabbed my pancake with my fork
" oh ,hahaha, you really grew up well dear , in sure she will take good care of you with that kind of mindset "  she chuckled while cleaning the corner of my mouth from food
' she ? Who is she? Probably a friend of her ' I thought for myself
" anyway, dear cece, since you've mastered our secret , I will teach you new things later today "
"Okay !" . 'New things? About spiritual magic,  that's exiting , I wonder what will she teach me ?' I thought to myself

After  breakfast , momwent to do her duties as a countess , while I went to my study , waiting for my personal tutor,  ' this will be boring , I forgot when was the last time I ever studied something,  it's too much work , at least Ron is too much busy and won't be with me the whole time '
" hello young master cale , my name is Henry,  and I'll be your new tutor"
" hello mister Henry, it's such a pleasure to be tutored by you sir "
" well today will be your first day of studying politics "

"OH,  I see you are a skilled man considering politics , I'm sure you'll be a great count in the future "
" oh you flatter me sir , I'm just a small kid , everything I know is all thanks to your easy explanation and efforts , all I did was considering your  steps , nothing else "
" will now it's lunch time , hope to see you next week young master "

After the tutor left the room, u went straight to my min,  who was in her garden, taking care of it, deruth didn't even bother to come have lunch with us , so we both decided to have lunch in the garden

"Mommy!!" I ran to hug her, with Ron and beacrox behind me , bringing our lunch ,
" oh cece, you shouldn't run or you'll fall " she hugged me back
" madame Jour,  I'll be putting your lunch here " Ron said with 19 years old beacrox helping him
" oh thank you Ron and you too beacrox "
It's always great to have 2 people other than your mom that knows your secret and helps you keeping it , just like in my past life , Ron and beacrox were the only one who helped me with the fact that I'm a girl , and in my first life , they hated Choi Han when they learned about me getting beaten up by him

Once the 2 men left us , we started eating our lunch , since this garden was a secret that only me , my mother , Ron and beacrox knew about it , I was able to take off my magic and rest a bit
" mom, that morning , you wanted to tell me something right ?" I say , in my usual stoic face while enjoying my meal
" oh right , I was about to forget , well dear, I was thinking about teaching you how to control your magic much better , and how to contact me or the thames family if you ever needed too with our special technique,  what do you think? "

•yah, someway we are, but our counterparts aren't in this world
" dear, did you say something " mother asked
" oh nothing mom, i wanted to tell you that I'll be soo happy to know more about our family's power , oh, I was about to forget to tell you that I still have  my ancient powers from my past life, but they don't exist anymore in this world "
" I see " the best thing about talking to my mom is that she can expect the unexpected,  which made it a lot easier for me , cuz I'm too lazy to explain everything
" well, let's start by a simple introduction of my family , 'the thames ': my family is are close friends to the Crossman household and helped them create the roan kingdom, helping them from the shadows,  as my father was the former archduke , but the family wanted to stay a secret which is the reason why almost no-one knows about it other then the head of each noble family . Our family specializes in spiritual magic,  just like the one you've been using to hide your true self , but it helps in different ways,  it mainly helps with defense and healing, so it's attacks won't do too much , but it's till useful, as it can one block even an attack from a dragon and heal mermaid poison, that's because the spiritual magic helps the soul , not the body , whichever why it's more useful , yet you have to controle it completely to show its full power , don't worry , it won't be too problematic I promise , it will just take a year or two ". I listened to her explanation carefully , it is infact a pretty useful power
" although it's principal is to protect , the last decade we found a way to use it in other ways ,which we call them 'skills'  like disguise,  that you are using , and teleportation , which is more easier and faster than normal magic , and lastly but not least , communication,  which will be the first thing I'll teach you " she explained , she took a sip from her tea
" communication using spiritual magic is when you draw a line between a cat and a dog , although they are different species,  they both use a kind of magic to survive , which is mana , and that mana is all in their plate , by using spiritual magic, you draw a line between your plate and the ones you want to communicate with , you might think it will be hard , but by training you'll find it the easiest thing to do . So , shall we start training? "
" yes ma'am "
" then go and prepare yourself , at night , after your bed time , come here with your training attire " I nod , after our agreement , we both went to do our duties as part of the count's family

It's finally night time , I putted on a training attire: black pants , and a white shirt ,Simple , but practical .

I tried to move unoticed by anyone , since most of them were asleep but the night guards , and probably Ron and his son

I get to the secret garden where mother was waiting for me , as she also had a training outfit
'There you are dear ' I stopped moving as I was shocked to hear mom's voice in my head , not in like the ancient powers , it was .... strange
"How does it feel when I used the communication skill "
"It felt .… strange "
"You get used to it "
"But how did you do it "
"That's the purpose of tonight. First I concentrate on the movement of my spiritual energy , then I make it move in one direction, from my plate to the other's plate . And that's it "
" wait , really "
"Mhm, told you it will be easy , especially for a skill child like you " she said In a playfully way
"It's pretty much like ancient power, but less troublesome "
"Yah ,now give it a try "
First try , second try , then third try was a sharm , after three tries , I finally managed to use the communication skill
"Mom , I have a question "
"Yes cece?"
"Is it possible to contact alot of people from different places int he world
"Mhm, but you gotta be a genius to do so , plus it's troublesome "
"Are there any limits?"
" just like there is no limit to a human's imagination,  there are no limits to how many you can contact , whether they are elfs or dragons "
I nod as an acceptance
" also I have another question "
"Go ahead dear"
" how can I co tact your family ?"
There was a bit of startle on the sudden question, but she hid it really fast with a chuckle
" there is a special ink that you write with it the letter, and it will directly go to the family member you want to contact, it's only possible between the thames family , tomorrow ill give you the ink , I was planning on giving it to you once you'll master to the communication skill but it seems like you've already mastered it "
She said , or more like she thought , as she realized that this whole conversation was happening through the communication skill
"Haaa, my daughter is truly a genius, right ! Before I forget " she quickly got infront of me and grabbed my hand , then put on it a silver ring
" this a ring that'll help you with your disguise,  just recharge it with spiritual magic ever week , since it's small , it has to be charged every now and then , once you'll be more older, you can use a necklace, and it'll last for a year " mother explained . Once I putted on the ring , I felt like I didn't have to use the disguise magic.
"That'll make it easier for me , thanks mom " I smiled at her
She held her hand to her mouth, her eyes full of sparkles
" oh God,  what did I do to deserve such a genius and cute daughter " she exclaimed  dramatically
" anyway, it will be midnight very soon , let's go have some rest "
"Okay " I yawned , mother picked me up  as I fell asleep in her arms
