"Fuck. What is happening to me!" Virat cursed. His guilt has started the moment he snapped at Rohit and it kept increasing with each passing second. How can he let that man affect him like this? How can he let his temper flare up like this for no real reason?

He picked up his phone and called Anushka.

"Hi! What's up?"

"I'm losing control again, Nushkie." Virat said, exhausted. He had worked a lot on his emotions and with his past heaving on his chest, it hadn't come easy.

"Virat, what's wrong? What happened?"

Virat told Anushka everything, not missing out on a single detail. It was easier for Virat to pour his heart out to her because he knew she would understand. She always did.

"What do I do, Anushka? I hate him- I really do. He ruins everything. I fought with bhai, Yuvi pa, Amu, Ritika and even you because of him in the past. And today, it was Rohit."

"I'm sure he doesn't mind, bubs."

"I know. I know he doesn't mind. But it's still wrong. I shouldn't have done that."

"Yeah you shouldn't have."

Virat turned around to see Rohit leaning on the doorframe, smirking and all of Virat's guilt turned into irritation.

"Don't you have any basic etiquettes? You shouldn't eavesdrop!"

"You were just telling her how guilty you are for yelling at me." Rohit said, amazed. "And you're doing the exact same thing again!"

"Because you're behaving like a brat!"

"Virat!"

"Yeah yeah. Sorry Nushkie. I'll see you in the evening. Bye. Take care." Virat hurriedly hung up the call and glared at Rohit.

"What?"

"Are you high, Virat?"

Virat's glare intensified.

"I'm not going to apologise." He declared stubbornly. "You pissed me off first."

"Of course!" Rohit rolled his eyes. "I didn't come for that anyways. We have to go downstairs. Dad has a surprise for you apparently."

"Can't we start calling him a clown or something? Dad doesn't suit him." Virat grumbled. Rohit laughed and slung an arm around him.

"Clown doesn't suit him either. They make people laugh, I like them."

"You like everyone." Virat shook his head, following Rohit downstairs where all of their family was sitting.

They looked at MS and Sakshi's gloomy faces. Yuvi, Hazel and Amulya weren't there. Raman's eyes lit up as he saw Virat, a wide smile coming on his face.

"Come come sit, Virat. Come." He patted the space next to him and MS eyed Virat. There was no chance the boy would follow anything their father says. He walked off to sit beside Sakshi, passing a smirk to Raman.

"I'm comfortable here. What did you want to say, dad?"

"Alright. So as you know, I'm getting older-"

"Like all of us?"

"Can you please let me speak, Virat?" Raman's patience was running thin as he glared at his youngest son. This one was truly a handful.

"Yes, my bad, sorry." Virat grinned, not looking sorry at all.

"Virat." Virat's grin faltered and he sat straight like an obedient child at his brother's tone.
