"Aaaaaah!!!"

Colet heard a shriek as she passed by Sheena and Jhoanna's room. Concerned, she peeked inside and saw Sheena standing on the bed, clutching a pillow as if it were a life raft.

"Huy! Napno ka?" Colet asked, puzzled. Sheena, with wide eyes and the pillow raised high, looked like she was ready to throw it or use it as a weapon.

"Ate Colet! May apisss! May ipis sa baba ng kama!" Sheena cried out, her voice trembling with fear.

Colet stepped inside the room, her curiosity now fully piqued. "Asan ba banda?" she inquired, scanning the room.

Sheena pointed to the side of the bed she was standing on, and Colet's eyes followed her direction. She quickly spotted the cockroach scuttling along the floor.

Armed with her slipper, she aimed to squash it, but just as she was about to strike, the cockroach took flight, causing Sheena to scream and dash out of the room in a panic.

"Huy, tanga! San ka - ." Colet started to call after her but couldn't finish as she burst into laughter. She managed to guide the cockroach out of the window, shaking her head at the absurdity of the situation.

Still chuckling, Colet closed the window and walked back to retrieve her slipper. As she bent down, something caught her eye - a folded piece of paper tucked partly under the bed.

Assuming it belonged to either Sheena or Jhoanna, she picked it up.

She was about to place it on the bedside table when she noticed her name written on the back in neat handwriting. Her curiosity was now fully ignited, and she frowned.

For a few minutes, Colet found herself in a staring contest with the letter, biting her nails in anticipation. The fact that her name was on it made her even more curious.

She felt an inexplicable pull towards the letter, her mind racing with possibilities and questions.

Finally, she decided, "Wag na nga lang," and started to walk away. But then she paused mid-step.

"Okay, silip lang konti," she muttered to herself, returning to the letter.

What was meant to be a quick peek turned into a full reading. As she absorbed the contents, her mouth fell open in shock. Each line of the letter made her heart pound harder with the revelations it held.

She was about to fold the letter back when Sheena suddenly re-entered the room.

"Wala na ba?" Sheena asked cautiously, peeking around the corner.

Colet quickly hid the letter behind her back and slipped it into her pocket. "Yup! Wala nang ipis," she replied, trying to sound casual.

Sheena exhaled in relief and walked back into the room, visibly more relaxed. Colet bid her a hasty goodbye, her mind already racing with thoughts as she walked out.

The letter, now safely hidden in her pocket, felt like a burning secret. Her emotions were in turmoil, and she felt an overwhelming need to talk to someone about what she had just read.

She had to process the emotions swirling inside her, spurred by the unexpected discovery in Jhoanna's letter.

Colet paced back and forth in front of Mikha and Gwen, who were lounging on the couch inside Mikha and Aiah's room.

The other girls were still out, busy buying souvenirs and exploring Elyu. Colet bit her nails nervously as she walked, her mind spinning with thoughts.

"Colet, you know I love you, right? But your pacing is making me dizzy," Mikha said, trying to break the tension.

Colet stopped abruptly and faced them. "Jhoanna likes me," she blurted out.

"No, she loves me," Colet corrected herself, her brows furrowing as she processed the revelation.

"Nag-confess siya sayo?" Gwen asked, her curiosity piqued. Colet shook her head, not wanting to reveal the letter just yet. It was best to talk to Jhoanna first. Even though the letter was addressed to her, it still felt private.

"Look, I just know, okay? Basta nalaman ko lang, pero I can't really say how I found out," Colet explained, trying to make them understand without giving too much away.

Mikha and Gwen nodded, sensing the need for discretion.

"So, what do you want to do? Are you going to confess to her too?" Mikha asked gently.

"Are you going to talk to her about it?" Gwen added, watching Colet bite her lip in thought.

Colet knew she couldn't just confront Jhoanna out of the blue. If she was going to confess, she wanted it to be special.

Considering they were leaving Elyu tomorrow and would soon be busy with school again, this trip was her best opportunity.

After a few moments of contemplation, an idea sparked in her mind. "Mikhs, tuloy ba ang Cup of Joe mamaya?" Colet asked, a plan forming.

"Of course, tuloy na tuloy. Grabe ba naman effort mo sa pagkuha sa kanila. Akala ko nga birthday ni Jhoanna, eh, not mine," Mikha laughed, and Gwen joined in.

"Ikaw sana kasama mamaya doon kung di ka lang naging jelly bean bigla doon kay Adie," Gwen teased, a playful glint in her eyes.

Colet rolled her eyes at the two, then grabbed her guitar resting on the bed. She smiled to herself as she glanced at her friends and the letter tucked in her pocket.

"Well, this jelly bean is about to become some sugar candy, or gummy bears. Basta sweet," she declared, making Mikha and Gwen laugh even harder.

As Colet looked at her guitar and thought about Jhoanna, she felt a surge of determination. She knew exactly what she needed to do.

Tonight, with Cup of Joe playing and the perfect atmosphere, she would make her move. Jhoanna deserved something special, and Colet was ready to give her just that.
