This story brings us to the struggle of Dr. NEITRA TIWARY her being the eldest daughter of family brought nothing but toxicity and poor mental health.....
until life brings CEO ABHAY NAIR in her life, the sunshine of NEITRA's life with his own share...
I graze my fingers through his hair while he sleeps soundly. My boy went through a really happening birthday yesterday. I don't have the heart to wake him up.
And I don't have the heart to face him too.
It's still dawn when I step out of home after bidding goodbye to my in laws.
I'm visiting my town today. I'm visiting varanasi.
After a three hour long flight I finally land in Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport.
"I could have managed it on my own Prashant", he picks up my luggage loading it into his car.
Still in his uniform he chuckles, "this is how you meet your only friend after a really long time."
I roll my eyes.
He pats my head. "How are you?"
"Use your eyes", I say taking the passenger seat.
"You look .....married", he smirks looking at me his eyes scan me top to bottom. "How's Delhi and new family."
"Good", they are the family I craved growing up. "You should have attended the wedding."
I watch his expression tense while he continues to drive through roads of Varanasi.
The fragrance of Kapoor and dhoop strikes me as soon as I cross the ghats implying that I was back on my own land.
"I had work", he says plainly.
"You can not attend my wedding but can pick me up from airport during work hours?"
He laughs. "You sound quite rebellious. Not just one word answers from your mouth but a whole damn sentence.....that's a progress. Abhay have been feeding you nice things I presume."
He mocks.
The thought of Abhay saddens me. Would he be finding me right now? What would he do if he doesn't find me? Ask his parents?
I get pictures of us under the rain when we were too close.

"You have grown fond of him. Haven't you", with a soft smile he says. "You're smiling."
A jerky U-turn brings me back. I turn my face away at the mention of smiling. I am caught.
"I'm happy that you're finally okay", his tone softens.
