Tara's pov:

I stood in front of the huge building, looking at Name written in bold letters, FLAMES. And now I started to think about what was the need of coming here in the first place. I could've given it to that friend of his. What the hell I was thinking. I looked at Sakshi,

"Let's get inside." she said. She is pretty chilled out, unlike me. We entered inside and I have to admit, the inside of this building is more gorgeous. The interior is perfect. Everything here screamed money and money. I took some healthy time admiring the elegance.

Then we went to the receptionist, inquired about our appointment with him and we were asked to wait here. So, we are sitting here for the last half an hour and I am getting more nervous with each passing minute. I didn't think about it before but,

What if he doesn't give a damn about this bracelet. Although it looks costly, he can get thousands like this.

or What if he behaves rudely with me?

or worse, he thinks that I stole it.

"Stop thinking too much." Sakshi said and I looked at her, she is still playing games.

"I think we should go back. We have been waiting here for quite a long time, maybe he is busy." I said. "Let's just hand it over to his secretary and we can go." I added.

She gave me a look and kept her phone down before she stood up and walked to the receptionist. After some time she looked back at me and gestured to me to go there. I stood up and went near her. A man came there and told us to follow him showing us the way and we both followed him silently. We got into the elevator and I asked sakshi in a low voice,

"What will I say to him?"

"You know, you are going to talk to him, not me." She replied in the same tone, with a sly smile on her face. I shoot her a glare.

"What do you mean? I won't go alone, you are coming with me." I said, but she shook her head and kept staring at her phone screen. I signed and just waited till the elevator door opened. We stepped out, after walking a little we were standing in front of his cabin.

"You can go inside." That man said. I held Sakshi's hand to pull her with me when the man said, "Ma'am you can go one by one." hearing him sakshi smiled looking at me.

I walked close to the door and opened it. Why I am getting so nervous. Should I have knocked first? I knock once and asked,

"Can I come in?"

"Yes." I heard his deep voice and slowly stepped inside. He was standing there, staring at his phone and then he looked towards me. He kept the coffee mug on the table that he was holding and shoved his phone inside his pocket as he walked up to me.

He is dressed in formals, wearing white shirt and light blue tailored pants.

"Please have a seat." He said and I realized I was looking at him without even blinking.

"No, it's fine." I replied. What should I say? God, this is so embarrassing.

"You wanted to meet me!" He asked and I lifted my gaze to look at his face.

"Yes, actually, I just.... I wanted to apologize. About last night, I shouldn't have barged into your room like that. It was very inappropriate, I am really sorry for that. I lost my way and was scared too, so..." My voice trailed off as I tried to explain.

"It's alright." he said and waited.

"And there's one more thing." I said, taking out the bracelet and holding it out to him. "I found it yesterday. I thought it might be yours." I said and he instantly took it from my hand.
