Tara's pov :

I have been running continuously, barefoot, and my legs started to hurt now. I don't have any idea where I am going. It's me only, but yet it's feeling like it's not me. I am not in control of myself. I felt a detachment from myself. Where am I? What is this place? Where am I going? Why am I running like this? It is pitch-black darkness all around me. Nothing could be seen except darkness. No one was around, and it was all silent; only the sound of my anklets could be heard as I ran through the darkness.

Exhaustion overcame me, and I collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. I looked at myself. I was adorned as a bride, wearing a crimson lehenga and heavy jewelry. Why? What is this happening? Is it me or someone else? I can feel everything, but I can't do anything. I am sweating badly. I stood up again with difficulty, wiping the tears from my eyes. Why am I crying?

I started to run again. I can hear the faded voices of war cries and the clash of swords. As I look around, I can now see my surroundings. I am on a battlefield. The war is going on or may be ending. What am I doing here? I continued to run. Some soldiers were dead, laying on the ground; some were helping the injured ones; and some were still fighting. They are fighting with swords. Did I come back in time? Oh God, it must be some dream; it can't be real.

Am I in search of someone? I stopped running as I spotted someone far away. A man lying on the ground and many souldiers are standing around him. All this is very confusing, but emotion swelled within me, looking at that man. I sobbed and ran in his direction with an ache in my heart. I am not able to see his face. Who is he? He looked at me and stretched his hand a little forward. I reached close to him and was about to hold his hand......

I woke up with a jerk, breathing heavily. Closing my eyes, I touched my forehead, trying to calm my racing heartbeat. Again, this weird dream! I often get this kind of dreams, clear and vivid, I can feel every but of it. Rubbing my eyes, I glanced at the clock. Oh no, I am late. It's 8:00 am, I will again get scolding from Maa. I quickly got up from bed, gathering my hair into a hasty bun. I started to fix my bed and I heard the knock on the door.

"Tara, are you awake?" I heared bhabhi calling me. I opened the door and she stepped in.

"Good morning." she greeted me, with smile. "Thank God, you are up. Chachi came twice to call you." she added.

"Good morning, bhabhi." I replied. "Actually I forgot to set my alarm, but don't worry I will get ready quickly" I said.

"Listen, I have something for you." She said, handing me tickets to the book exhibition. I grinned looking at it. How did I forgot about it, I was waiting for months. It's one of the biggest book exhibition. Damn, books are love. I am going to buy lot today.

"Thanks, Bhabhi." I said, taking the tickets from her.

"Thank your bhaiya, he got them for you. And hurry up, get ready quickly." She said, before leaving. I quickly messaged Shakshi, my friend, and told her about the exhibition.

I took my cloths and hurried towards the bathroom.

After my refreshing shower, I started to get ready. Standing infront of the mirror, I looked at my reflection, wiping my wet hairs with the towel. My face is looking pale. It's because of the dream. It happens everytime I have this kind of odd dreams, which cause me to feel weak and sometimes I fall ill too. I got ready in a simple yellow kurti paired with palazzo. I kept my hair open, applied some moisturizer on my face and lip balm on my lips. I wore small simple earrings and my favorite anklets. I love wearing anklets. With my bag in hand, I rushed down the stairs.
