Risha was out running errands when she ran into Julia. "OH hey, Julia, right?" Risha stops in the mall, catching Julia off guard.
"Risha, right?" She said
"Yeah. How are you doing?" She asked. Risha didn't know why she stopped to talk, but she had to get to know this girl for some odd reason.
"I'm good. I did like the clothing if you don't see, " Julia said, turning around in one of Risha and Crystal's outfits.
"Yes, it looks good on you, girl," Risha said, smiling.
Crystal walks up. "Hey girl," Crystal said, talking to Julia. "Busy? Want to grab lunch?" She asked
"Nope. I'm free as of now, " she said as she began to walk with Risha and Crystal.
"You from Philly?" Crystal asked
"Yeah. Born and raised. Yall?" Julia asked
"Yes. Ready to leave, " Crystal said
They left the mall to grab a quick lunch. They walk into this diner sitting down, ordering then some food.
"So what you do?" Risha asked
"OH, I'm a lawyer," she said
Risha choked on her drink. "Oh wow. And we just have a clothing line. You out her living, " Risha said as she and Crystal laughed.
"Yeah. But shit gets hard sometimes. Especially around our age. That doesn't think a young black girl can be successful as a man."
"Girl, prove they ass wrong. Fuck what they say. They gone talk until you die." Risha said.
"OH, I forgot to ask you, Risha. What are we doing for your birthday?" Crystal asked
"Shit, I don't know," Risha said
"When is your birthday?" Julia asked, curious.
"Nov.12," Risha said
"No shit. Mine is too, " Julia said
"You lying?" Crystal said
Julia pulls out her I.D. covering her picture and address showing both of them.
"I'll be damned," Crystal said, looking at Julia.
"So what do you for your birthday?" Risha asked
"OH, my ma. Throws me a little get-together at the house, which I don't like. But it's cool. I don't like to do shit myself. Aint like they are my real folks anyways," Julia said, looking at her watch.
"What do you mean by that?" Crystal asked
"I was adopted at birth. They are a loving family. Just wish I could have known my real folks, " Julia said
"Crazy. I grew up in the system. So I can feel where you are coming from, " Risha said
"I do have to go through," Julia said, smiling at Risha
Julia gets up as they walk out of the diner.
"We should get together sometimes?" Crystal said
"Yeah, I'll be down. I don't do anything anyway." Julia said, exchanging numbers with Risha and Crystal. She walks away getting into her BMW.
"Same birthday. Both were in the system" Crystal said "Hear me out. Would if yall related on some crazy shit"
"I was thinking the same thing. But I'm not about to dig into it. Let's go. I want to go for some drinks" Risha said as they walked to Crystal's car.
Later that night.
Risha has been texting and calling Keith but he ain't been responding. She became mad and brushed it off. She turns her phone off for the night coming out of her room in a blue strapless dress with some silver heels. While Crystal had on an orange strapless dress with some black heels.
"No answer?" Crystal said seeing Risha mad.
"Girl this is what I was talking about before. He thinks shit sweet" she said leaving her phone on the couch and grabbing her keys. "I bet he won't find us tonight" Risha said as they left together.
Keith's driver pulls up into this big mansion. He gets out opening the door for Keith. Getting out he sees Risha calling him. He turns his phone completely off. Walking in he was not up for meeting his father for the first time since he killed his Mother. Keith never forgave him. They let him off easy.
"Keith," his father said standing with his hands in his pockets.
"Larry" He said stopping far away from him.
"You ready to talk?" He asked
"I'm here ain't I?" He said smartly.
"Trust me. You don't need your bodyguards. This my house" He said turning around and walking into his dining room.
Keith told them to stay behind while he went to the living room. He grabs the drink his father made for him. Keith sits down on the couch sipping his drink back.
"I know what you think of me. What i did to your mother,"
Keith cuts him off putting the drink down "Don't speak of her. You the reason she's dead" He said getting up
"You thought for years that was me who broke in to kill your mother. It wasn't me and I still done the time."
"It didn't have to be you. But it was. You paid somebody to not only hurt her but me too. Like you didn't give a fuck about your child" Keith said with a tear coming down. He never cried since his mother died.
"Look son. I was fucked up about it. I still am. I want this relationship with my son." Larry said
"There will never be a relationship. I'm only here cause of Grandma. Other than that you wouldn't have never seen me" he said
"What do I have to do for us to amend our relationship " Larry said
Keith fixes his suit walking up to him looking at him in his eyes "Sit youreslf on fire in Die" he said walking away. "Let's go" He said leaving out.
