Last Chapter before we get into the storyline! Sorry for the wait. We'll see Lloyd soon. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

{Bored? Just Move!}

M/n sat at the dining room table. In front of him was a pile of little paper balls, a radio, and Marley who had his head dunked in a bowl of cereal. He had his cheek resting against his hand, using the other to flick the paper balls to the other side of the room. Every time his finger made contact with the paper, there'd be a small, colorful spark that would send it flying to the other wall. Which was not very close. "Hey, Marley?" He asked without glancing over at the dragon.

"Yeah?" Marley lifted his head from his bowl, milk dripping from his snout.

"Are you bored?" M/n ran out of paper balls to mess with, so he reached over to the radio next to him and switched it on.

Marley rubbed his face into a napkin by his bowl to wipe away the milk. "A little," he said before going back to eat his cereal.

M/n kept changing the channel, only getting static on each station. Eventually he came upon the Ninjago News channel. This one wasn't only confined to Ninjago City. It reached out to every official village and town. He heard the voice of Gale Gossip talking about the latest events:

"The Great Devourer has been defeated by none other than Lord Garmadon himself! Ninjago City has been saved. Soon construction will be done to repair the destroyed blocks of the city, and..."

M/n turned the volume down until her voice was no more than an uninterpretable whisper.
"Let's move to Ninjago City."

Marley perked up at that, looking excited. He spoke with great enthusiasm, crumbs of cereal falling onto the table. "Really?" He didn't wait for a response, jumping off the table and running to the bedroom. He wanted to pack and get going as soon as possible. "Let's go! Let's go!!"

"Huh!?" M/n got up and chased after him. "Marley, slow down!"

Marley hasn't ever seen a big city, and M/n wanted to be closer to the action, so this was a perfect decision for both of them. Of course, they had to pack, and make travel plans, and say goodbye to everyone. Well, M/n did. Marley didn't really go out all too often, being a dragon and all. They packed, sold the house, and hitched a ride with a merchant who was going to Ninjago City. It didn't take long for them to get there, a few days, but it was better than going on foot. The next problem was finding a place to stay, since checking into a hotel was pointless because they wanted to live here. Luckily, they found a pamphlet taped onto a street lamp for 'Patty Keys, Real Estate Agent.'

M/n found her at her office and she toured him through a couple of apartments. He recognized the one where the Ninja would eventually train Lloyd in, so he definitely wouldn't buy that one. It was all the Ninja could afford. But it wasn't like he could buy one much fancier than that one, so he took the one a few doors down, meant to house 1 to 2 people.

Once they were settled in M/n went out with Marley hidden in his hood to do some job-hunting. Again, he found a flyer pasted near the museum. When he went up to read it, the museum owner walked over in a hurry and asked, "Are you interested?"

"Uh, yeah." M/n was a little confused at his body language, but the man suddenly grabbed his hand and began to shake it.

"Great! You're hired! Come in at 8:00 am tomorrow so we can get you situated!!" He then turned and ran back into the museum.
