Ana, found herself in the company of Rebekah Mikaelson. The two women, both seeking an escape from their pasts, had decided to take full advantage of Klaus's limitless bank account.

The two women strolled, turning heads with their beauty and confidence. Rebekah, with her centuries of experience, moved with the grace and poise of royalty. Ana, despite her tough exterior, exuded a quiet allure that drew people in.

As they walked, Rebekah glanced at Ana. "You know, for someone new in my world, you seem to be adjusting to this lifestyle pretty well."

Ana shrugged, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "Guess I'm a fast learner. Plus, it's not every day you get to spend an Original vampire's money."

Rebekah laughed; a genuine, carefree sound that made Ana feel lighter. "Fair enough. How about we grab a drink?

"I know a place where we can really let loose."

They made their way to one of Chicago's most exclusive rooftop bars, the view of the city skyline breathtaking. As they stepped out onto the terrace, Rebekah signalled to the bartender, who immediately started preparing their drinks.

Ana leaned against the railing, taking in the view. "It's beautiful up here."

Rebekah handed her a glass of champagne. "To new beginnings," she toasted, her eyes meeting Ana's.

Ana clinked her glass against Rebekah's. "To new beginnings."

They sipped their drinks, the tension of their pasts momentarily forgotten. As the night wore on, they found themselves laughing and sharing stories, the bond between them growing stronger with each passing moment.

Rebekah leaned in, a conspiratorial glint in her eyes. "You know, Klaus is going to be furious when he sees the bill."

Ana smirked. "Let him be. We deserve this."

Rebekah nodded in agreement. "Indeed we do. So, Ana, tell me, what brings you to this side of the world? You don't seem like the typical no – brained human."

Ana hesitated for a moment before responding with a carefully chosen half-truth. "I've been traveling, trying to find a place where I fit in. Something about Mystic Falls seemed... intriguing."

Rebekah raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story. "Intriguing how?"

Ana took another sip of her drink, buying herself a moment to think. "Let's just say I've had an unusual life. I thought Mystic Falls might be a place where I could start fresh."

Rebekah nodded, her interest piqued. "Well, you've certainly found a place full of secrets. But then again, so do you, I bet. Maybe one day you'll share them with me."

Ana smiled, grateful that Rebekah didn't press further. "Maybe... what's Klaus getting you to do for him anyway."

Rebekah scowled. " He needs my necklace that is a thousand years old to talk to our dead mother about breaking his curse but I have no clue where my necklace is so instead a witch is channelling me to find it."

Ana was stunned for a moment " forget I asked."

Rebekah laughed at the girl then asked her something. "Klaus has got something special to you hasn't he?"

Ana looked up at the vampire giving her a sad smile. "Someone actually."

It only took a couple of moments for Rebekah to realise who she was talking about.

" Bloody hell, its Elijah isn't it."

Ana didn't have time to reply before Bex spoke again. " Nik told me when he first woke me up about what I had missed and one of those things is that our dear older brother had found a girl.

Rebakah held back the information that Ana was Elijah's soulmate as it wasn't hers to tell.

" All I want to do is get drunk." The human replied.

" Please."

As the night continued, they danced and mingled with the city's elite, the weight of their histories momentarily lifted. They were two women from vastly different worlds, yet in that rooftop bar in Chicago, they found common ground.
