Chapter Two: Testing

"JJ come one we're gonna be late!" Ayzen said, practically bouncing off the walls. "Ok, ok. It's still 7:30." "Classes start at 8 so let's go!" "You know you can leave without me right?" "Yea, but then who would I talk to?"

Jace finishes up and exits the hotel dorm with Ayzen, against his will. "We all have history as our first period so let's go!" Jace groans. All the classes go smoothly, just regular school.

The time was now 3:30. "The campus is kinda big isn't it Jace?" Ayzen remarks. Jace could admit, this big of a campus was expected at a college, not a high school.

"Why are you still following me?" Jace says instead. "They did say get accustomed to your dorm mate, that's just what I'm doing. I would rather be with Sage ok." "If you like her so much, ask her to be your girlfriend already."

Ayzen turns red and puts his head down. "L-let's just get to the ability testing already." The field for ability testing was large, humongous in fact. Ms. Haven began speaking once everyone arrived.

"Good afternoon everyone and welcome to day one of the ability tests. Over the next week, we will test strength and endurance, speed and agility, durability, intelligence and dexterity, and power potency. You may have Saturday and Sunday to rest and we will start our combat tournament on Monday."

There were a few small worried murmurs but the majority of the teens were excited. "Great! Aren't you excited S!" "I guess." "Don't worry, your trusty knight will protect you!" Ayzen says, acting princely.

"Lovebirds, stop flirting and listen up." Ms. Haven said, embarrassing both Ayzen and Sage. "We will now begin testing strength and endurance."

"I got... 10th!?" Calista was in awe. "Maybe you shouldn't have taken a break from working on yourself." Destiny laughed, even though she was only one above her.

"Ok it seems like our top 3 are Niome, Jace, and Jakob. Step up your game ladies. The time is now 20:00, you may return to your dorms."

Calista slowly walked back to the building, ashamed of herself. Jace just stood still looking at Ezariah's sweaty body. "She's, buffer than I thought." He mumbled. "Ohhh? Who's the lovebird now?" Ayzen appeared from nowhere like he always does. "I, um, but, she, I was, I mean, Just-" "Ok, ok. You're gonna shortwire your brain, let's go." Ayzen laughed.

"Shut the fuck up Ayzen." Jace blushed and walked with Ayzen. "Hey, Ezariah?" Sage went up to her. "Yeah?" "Watch out with Jace, ok. Calista tends to get overprotective."

Weird, Ezariah thought. She just went on with her day. Cosmo had the worst placing, which wasn't shocking. He didn't really care though, he had predicted it.

In their dorm Calista had settled in for the night, watching her favorite show on the television provided. Ezariah had walked in, she had stayed out until ten o'clock doing something Calista had nothing to do with.

"I already showered so the bathroom is yours." Calista said, not taking her eyes off of the television. "Oh, ok. Thanks I guess."

Destiny and Sage arrived back at their dorm around the same time. "We need to establish some rules." Destiny scoffed.

"Like what?" Sage rolled her eyes. "Bathroom times." Destiny responded, Sage just laughed. "I'm serious!" Destiny called out as Sage went to her room. "This is why I hate that bitch." Destiny grumbled.

In her room, Sage was preparing to take a shower and go to bed. All of a sudden there was a- THUNK! "What the..." THUNK! The sound was coming from her window. She turned her head and saw Ayzen laying on a cloud. "Ayzen! What are you doing! And we aren't supposed to use our abilities without permission! And why are you over here and-" Ayzen was very clearly ignoring her.
