Ash's pov

We've been chatting for plenty of time with Paige and Hallie and these two already became besties bro I swear. "I want you to teach me how to play basketball like you" Hallie said at Paige who was smiling form ear to ear before agreeing on being Hallie's coach. Just then my phone started to ring making all of us look at my phone. "It must be my sister" the little girl said and I nodded before picking up the phone. I waited so that I could hear the voice first just to be sure "Hello?" The voice asked as I answered the phone. "Hi you must be Hallie's sister" I said and I smiled at the little girl taking her hand in mine "yes I am. Thank you so much for taking care of her. Where would you like to meet?" She asked and i told her to go to the reception. Paige decided to come with me as the others waited for us outside. "Gina!" Hallie shouted before running to her. "hey babygirl" The older girl said before looking at me and Paige. "Again thank you so much for taking care of her. How can I repay you?" She asked while me and Hallie were already looking at each other "well Hallie asked me to ask you if I could hang out with her again? Only If you're comfortable with it and you can always tag along" I offered and I could see the excitement in Hallie's eyes. "well I suppose we can do that since y'all got so close. I already have your number so I can text you when Hallie and I can come and meet y'all" she said looking both at me and Paige. I looked at the blond next to me who shrugged as a response "well then that's great! Little one we'll see each other soon alright?" I asked kneeling in front of her. She run to me in a hug which I of course accepted. I kissed her forehead before she whispered to me "ask her out before we go out with my sister again or I'm telling" she threatened me and I let out a laugh before agreeing. "I'll see you soon Hallie. Stay out of trouble" I said and earned a big thumbs up from her. As they walked away I found myself still smiling at the kid before turning to look away. "You ready?" I asked Paige who nodded still in her own world. I didn't bother to stop her overthinking knowing that she won't listen to me so we just headed outside. "Took y'all long enough" Aliyah commented making Paige chuckle a bit before getting in an Uber. He took us to the UConn dorms and we all went to the dorm house because they didn't want me to be alone tonight and I really didn't want to fight with them so I just agreed to it. "Y'all I don't have clothes with me and there's no way I'm sleeping in a suit" I said making them all laugh. "I'll give you some clothes of mine. I'm probably the only one who has clothes that actually fit your tall ass" Aliyah said and I chuckled before thanking her. "I'mma sleep on the couch" I said and before I could actually sit down all three girls started arguing about me sleeping in a bed so I wouldn't hurt my hand in limited space. "I will be okay guys I'm not made out of sugar" I tried to argue but somehow they ended up on deciding that I should stay at Paige's room because Aliyah's room was a mess and I didn't really want to sleep with Nika due to what she said earlier about me being stupid in front of everyone. "looks like the faith wants us to sleep in the same bed after all" Paige joked earning a laugh from me. I felt bad about making her share the bed. I'm literally 6'2 I don't know how we could fit in the bed. "I honestly have no idea how we Gon fit in the bed with my tall ass" I said and she laughed before signaling for me to get into the bed. "you need anything before I lay down?" She asked and I said no before trying to give her as much space as possible. "Don't fall off the bed bro relax" she said and I just chuckled before closing my eyes letting the meds and the exhaustion of the day kick in.

Paige's pov

As I woke up I saw that I was practically on top of Ash while her injured hand was wrapped around my waist. I secretly knew we would end up in a position like this and honestly I wanted to be right. I loved how her hands would wrap around me. She was perfect. I mean those hands are definitely good at holding someone. I slowly got up without waking her up and headed to make some coffee cause I can't function properly without any. Nobody was awake even though it was 11 am. I took two mugs of coffee one for me and one for ash before heading back to the room. I was still thinking about last night and what could have possibly gone wrong if ash wasn't there to help me and step up for me. It honestly bothers me that I was so vulnerable. As I entered the room I placed one mug for her in the nightstand right beside her before making my way to my side of the bed before getting in and start watching some tik tok. After two to three minutes I feel movement beside me and before I can process anything I felt Ash's injured hand wrap around my body pulling me closer as she was now laying face down. Not gonna lie this was cute and hot at the same time but it was not a good time to be horny with her on my bed. Not to mention she thinks I hate her or that I don't like her. But that feeling was long gone. I just wanted her. Everything that had to do with her. I wasn't denying it anymore. I placed my phone down taking a minute to actually study her features as she slept. How her face looked so calm yet she had a small cut on her lip that I just now noticed. The way her back was slowly arching up and then back down as her breathing was even. It was so smooth. Almost hypnotizing. "Who would've guessed that my biggest admirer is THE Paige Bueckers huh" she mumbled without opening her eyes making me blush and look away. She chuckled as she turned around getting the cup of coffee I had for her in the nightstand. "Since when are you actually awake?" I asked embarrassed about being caught staring. She let out a laugh, which was actually so attractive I honestly can't anymore with this girl, before she said "I was awake way long before you. I was just comfortable and didn't want to move" she said making me blush even harder. She took a sip of her coffee before placing it to it's original place. She looked at me with a small smirk on her face without moving her hand. "listen Ash I just wanna thank you again for yesterday. I don't know what I would've done if you weren't there" I admitted as I felt the guilt find it's way to my brain. "Paige just like I told you it was my pleasure. I would do it allover If I was given the chance" she said sitting up looking at me sympathetically. I smiled at her appreciating her words before she pulled her hands out for a hug. I thought about it for a minute before she said "come on. You know you need it" and with that I fell into her arms. Those strong arms that had protected me so many times without me noticing. Fist at practices as she watched over my injury and then yesterday when she looked out for me when no one else did. I felt so safe with her. Like I could actually breathe. I took a deep breath as I inhaled her perfume letting it intoxicate my brain. She placed a small kiss on my head as she rubbed her not injured hand against my back offering me some type of comfort. I looked up at her holding eye contact for a solid minute but before I could do anything else a knock on the door interrupted my actions. "Paige wake up! Wake ash as well! We got practice in an hour!" I heard Nika shout making me groan as I slowly pulled away from her embrace already missing her hold. "we better get up before geno makes you run suicides till you graduate for being late" she said making me laugh as we made our way outside. We sat down all together in silence as we drank our coffee in peace. I could sense some type of tension between Nika and Ash but I didn't say anything and neither did Aliyah. "I will go a bit early at the gym does anyone want a ride?" Ash asked but we all agreed on staying here for a bit before going to the gym. She said bye to everyone before leaving the room. Nika left as well with a serious look on her face and went to her room to get ready. "So what happened between you two?" Aliyah finally broke the silence making me snap my head at her. I gave her a confused look before answering "what do you mean?" She rolled her eyes at me and said "y'all got out the room at the same time laughing. Not wanting to kill each other. Yesterday the girl threw herself at a knife for you literally. And your 'i hate her' act has worn off long time ago so spill" she said making me realize how many things have happened in such little time. "I honestly don't know Lili" I said before sighing. I don't think I have realized the things that we have been through this past 24 hours. I am still proscesing the fact that a few minutes ago we were interrupted just as we were about to kiss. I don't even know if she wanted to kiss me. Ugh I don't like not having the uper hand here. I think I am in desperate need of her. That's the first time I admit it to myself actually. And that's actually what's scaring the fuck outta me.
