"Lonnie?" Evie did not expect to see an Auradon Prep student on the Isle. And she had to bite back the trepidation that came knowing another one of her friends may be put in harm's way. But she welcomed the increase in numbers, especially the daughter of warriors like General Mulan and Commander Shang. They needed all the arms they could get if the trade went south.

"I made them bring me," Lonnie said with more than a little smugness to which Carlos rolled his eyes and Jay smirked. The tall Wei girl enveloped Evie in a hug before turning to give one to Mal as well.

The boys opened the trunk revealing plenty of shiny silver blades... and one runaway mutt. "Dude! I told you to stay!"

"I flunked obediance class," the dog said unapologetically.

Carlos sighed. "You're lucky I love you. But seriously, stay here while we deal with this."

"Let me see it," Mal demanded. Jay placed the fake wand in her waiting palm. "Beautiful. Yes, this may actually work."

Meanwhile, Evie turned her attention to her chosen sword. She wasn't as skilled as the others when it came to combat but she could handle her own. She hoped it wouldn't come to that though.

They took off for the docks. First thing Evie noted was the number of pirates hanging about. Sensing that something was about to go down, a few scattered off but there was still enough loitering around to make the witch nervous. She knew better than to show it and instead mapped out multiple exit strategies. But they truly only needed one: the cylinder pipe that would lead straight back to the limousine. The others would just lead deeper into the island, meaning more complications.

Evie assessed the number of wharf rats on the ship. There was five for every one of them. The cannons didn't look loaded or even properly set up. Guess they're not willing to blow their own dock to smithereens. That's one thing in their favor. She discreetly handed Carlos the bag of smoke bombs. He always was the best shot, his favorite tool of mischief being a slingshot.

While Uma and Mal exchanged barbs, Harry had a tied up Ben balancing on the plank. Evie caught sight of the red streaked murky waters below them. If Uma's crew had already casted the lure to bring in the sharks, it wasn't an empty threat... but surely Uma wouldn't be stupid enough to kill her valuable hostage. If she thought conditions on the island were bad now, what would happen if they killed the Beast's only son?

She tried to meet Ben's gaze to reassure him they had a plan if only through eye contact. But he didn't seem scared for himself, only concerned etched his face, and his attention was focused solely on Mal and Uma.

"My patience is running out, Mal. Give me the wand now," Uma sneered.

"Untie him first."

"You think you are in a position to make demands?" Despite this, she rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers. "Harry."

Harry grunted and pulled Ben off the plank and with one slash, cut his rope. No sooner had he done so, he had his arm around the king's neck and his hook on his stomach. "Make one wrong move and I'll debilitate him."

Evie knew Mal had to play the part with reluctance as if she was about to hand over a very powerful weapon to her most hated rival, but she wanted to scream for her to hurry up.

"No one has to come to any harm, Uma," Mal snapped.

"You're right. They don't. Give. Me. The. Wand."

With a fierce scowl, Mal held out the wand and everyone held their breath.

"Mal, wait! Don't. There has to be a better way. Trust me... no one wins if you give her the wand," Ben called out. "Uma! I swear on my honor, on my crown, stop this now and you will have your say!"
