Dosti Mein Darar

     Part 22

[The CID team reached Bhangarh Fort the next morning. This is a wonderful place. Temples, palaces and havelis can be seen just by entering the main gate of the completely ruined fort city. There are many Hindu temples at the entrance of the main gate. Such as: Hanuman Temple, Gopinath Temple, Someshwar Temple, Keshav Ray Temple, Mangala Devi Temple, Ganesh Temple and Navin Temple. Next is Dancer's Palace and Jauhari Bazaar. Then there is the Gopinath temple. And the Royal Palace is situated at the extreme end of the fort boundary.]

Pankaj: Sir yeh to bohot hi acchi jagah hai. Kitne saare temple hai, gardens hai.

Dushyant: Ha Pankaj woh to hai. Lekin samajh mein nehi aa raha hai ki log iss jagah ko haunted place kyu bolte hai.

Purvi: Bahar se kuch samajh mein nehi ayega. Mujhe lagta hai hume iss jagah ko check karna chahiye.

Dushyant: Sahi bola Purvi ne. Waqt bohot Kam hai. Ek kaam karo, sab alag alag disha mein jao. Dekho kuch milta hai kya.

[Then everyone went their separate ways. Purvi went towards Jauhari Bazar, Dushyant went towards Gopinath temple. Meanwhile, Pankaj went towards the garden. In this fort area was the house of the chief priest. It is known as "Purohit Ji Ki Palace". Kavin went inside that palace. Shreya and Nikhil went to two more temples there. Everyone took good pictures of the places. But nothing unusual like that caught anyone's eye. Finally everyone met at one place.]

Dushyant: Kisi ko kuch feel hua? Kisi ne kuch dekha?

Shreya: Nehi sir. Mujhe to kuch ajeeb nehi laga. Upar se main jo mandir pe gayi thi woha ka nazara hi kuch alag hai.

Dushyant: Eha ka har mandir pe history ka nishaan hai. Mandir ka jo naksha hai woh bohot purana hai. Bohot saal pehle eha par jo log rahte the un logo ke culture iss puri fort mein nazar aata hai.

Purvi: Aur sir Jauhari market ke raasta bhi bohot acche hai. Puri raasta laal mitti se banaya hua hai. Lekin itne saal baad bhi uska kuch nehi badla hai.

Kavin: Lekin mujhe ek cheez ajeeb laga.

Dushyant: Kya?

Kavin: Main eha ka purohit ke haveli mein gaya tha. Woha mujhe ajeeb sa feel ho raha tha. Aisa lag rahe the koi tha woha. Aur haveli mein mujhe ek cheez mila.

[Saying this, Kavin took out a blue stone from his pocket.]

Nikhil: Yeh to stone hai.

Pankaj: Woh bhi blue colour ka. Kitna sundar hai.

Purvi: Yeh to locket ka koi hissa lag raha hai.

Dushyant: Agar locket ka hissa hai to iska chain bhi hona chahiye. Kavin yeh tujhe jaha se mila hai uss jagah pe hume dubara chalna chahiye. Chalo sab.

[Everyone again went to that priest's haveli. There are some other tourists here. So nothing could be searched in front of them. Moreover, they have kept the identity of the CID officer secret. Dushyant kept the blue stone very carefully. Then they came out of there. This fort is a huge place. So it was not possible for them to go around in one day. It was almost five o'clock. So the guards here are requesting everyone to leave the area. Dushyant, Purvi, Kavin, Pankaj, Nikhil and Shreya all left the place and came out. They went back to their farm house.]

[But among all these things, one thing escaped their attention. It was a mysterious figure watching over them from the Dancer's Palace. It was not noticed by any member of the CID team. Back at the farm house, everyone sits together and looks at the pictures taken by their cameras. Kavin checks the photo of Bhangarh Fort taken from the rooftop last night. Just then they heard a loud noise. The sound is probably the scream of an animal.]
