I can fix him...

As Ember looks in his eyes she sees a broken man she feels bad and wants to take away his pain and trauma. He notices her staring he realizes what she's  thinking and his mood changes and his voice changes back to his usual monotone voice.

He gently pushes her away and looks away "I know what you're thinking don't even try it I don't need your pity Ember...." he says. She looks at him "but I really think I can hel-" she gets cut off by him he lashes out "I said I don't need your pity!" He looks away "please exit my class Ms Eveland....". She doesn't want to argue so she leaves quickly. She starts walking to the Slytherin dormitory her mind racing with thoughts about their conversation.

She cant help but feel bad for Snape even though he said he didn't need pity. She looks around the hallway as she walks the conversation keeps playing in her head she thinks maybe she could've done something that wouldn't have set him off like that. Once she gets to the slytherin dormitory she passes through the common room going to the girls dormitory and lays flat on her bed and sigh feeling horrible about what happened.

She feels her ferret Celeste climb beside her hand nuzzling it. She smiles and pets her ferret she lifts her up to her face she licks her face softly she smiles feeling better. She looks up and she sees Ash her guy best friend since first year walking over with his dumb smirk on his face. "Are you still obsessed over that sorry old man"

he says playfully. She rolls her eyes "come on he isn't that bad Ash "she says looking in his light blue eyes sort of annoyed but also liking his teasing. She smiles "he's a grump and you know it" Ash says this gets her a bit mad "Ash leave him alone" she says getting more annoyed. Ash continues to make comments about Snape. Her eye twitches and she snaps "you don't know anything about him Ash you're just judging him by how he acts!!" She burst out yelling. Ash looks surprised by her outburst

"Wow I didn't expect you to get so angry over it. You know I was just teasing right?" She sighs "yes I'm sorry I got angry it's just-" she trails off.
"Just what?" Ash asks curious now "he's broken I looked in his eyes and a saw the pain and trauma and I think if I dig deeper I can-"

Ash interrupts her  "no Ember you can't fix him that is a bad idea" she looks at him. "Ash if I try hard enough I can fix him. I really think it'll work I just need to try. Please Ash" Ash sighs. "Fine but don't be surprised when he shatters your heart" he looks at her with worry "I promise Ash it'll be okay he won't break my heart" he nods. "Alright I'm sorry I just don't want you to get hurt" she smiles softly "I know...."

A few days later

Ember is in Herbology class she doesn't really know what professor Sprout is saying 'cause she's zoned out she can't stop thinking about Snape and what happened in the potions classroom. She's dreading potions at the end of the day she's practically sweating she looks at the clock. She's glad she has one more class before potions she sighs and tries to listen to what professor Sprout is saying Ash is staring at her. She looks at him and mouths "what" he smirks and looks back at professor Sprout
And continues to take notes she rolls her eyes.

After Herbology she starts making her way to Defense Against The Dark Arts she walks in and takes her seat she rolls her eyes when Umbridge walks in she's made everybody's time at Hogwarts this year miserable. She looks over at the golden trio they all look annoyed as well and then you turn your attention to Draco who is smirking Ember scoffs and pulls out her notebook and quill to take notes. Umbridge starts talking Ember takes notes focusing until Snape walks in delivering something in a small vial to Umbridge. Ember and Snape make eye contact for a second before he turns his back to her and walks out she sighs and looks back at her notes.

Class finishes Ember is very nervous so she decides to stall grabbing your things very slowly but Umbridge catches on "Ms Eveland I suggest you get to potions before you're late" she says in her obnoxious voice Ember gives her a fake smile but she's obviously annoyed she leaves the class room and starts heading to potions. She opens the door she is the last one to class everyone looks at her since she's normally the first one to potions class she takes her seat. She looks at Snape they both make eye contact again but he turns around to the chalkboard she rolls her eyes. He turns back around to see her rolling her eyes "Ms Eveland is that attitude I detect" he says in his monotone voice she looks at him and scoffs "no professor of course not" she says. He looks at Ember his gaze from his piercing deep brown eyes intimidates her but turns her on as well "very well for your attitude Ms Eveland you will be receiving detention by cleaning the cauldrons. Is this understood" she sighs. "Yes professor..."

After class she stays for detention while everyone leaves she looks at him and he looks at her walking over his gaze still piercing "professor please if you'd just let me try and help you I really think you would feel be-" he puts his finger over her lips cutting you off "we aren't discussing this again Ember I already said I don't need your pity you're just a little girl you can't fix me I'm too broken..." he looks away. "Professor please-" he cuts her off "just start cleaning the cauldrons please and thank you..."

She doesn't want to pester him so she starts to clean the cauldrons with the rag and water bucket he gave her. She's never understood why they can't just use magic to clean the cauldrons but what would they use for detentions in potions. As she's cleaning he grabs your waist and pulls her close she looks up at him he turns her to him and starts kissing her passionately and deeply her hands go to his hair immediately.

After she looks up at him "please Professor at least talk about it a bit I can help i promise" he groans getting annoyed by her begging and bugging him about it "Ember please let's just enjoy the moment can we" he says. "Please you need to get this out so you can feel better" she looks at him desperate "you know what I have been nothing but caring to you and yet you keep asking for more Ember "I just don't get it" she looks at him offended "I haven't said you haven't all I'm saying is if you'd open up instead of building walls then you'd actually talk then you wouldn't act like you hate everything and everybody then maybe you wouldn't be so lonely!" He glares and slams his fist on the desk. "I have treated you like a princess and this is the kind of thanks I get!"

"All I wanted was extra credit I didn't want to be in this situation!" He looks at Ember with rage he slaps her right across her face she looks at him with shock tears forming in her eyes. "I can't believe you" he realizes what he did "Ember I-" he goes to grab her hands she pulls away and push him "stay away I never want to see you again!" She storms out almost sobbing. He rushes after her "Ember please just listen to-" cutting him off "no leave me alone!"
