Tied in a web

As the days go by Ember starts to get more and more stressed she can't take it anymore you think that if you reject Ash and go to Snape he'll tell somebody and then get Snape arrested but if you reject Snape he could do something to Ash. You look at your ferret she's staring at you with her big beady eyes and then looks at her empty food bowl you can't help but laugh at her look.

She looks at Ember confused as she gets up and grabs the ferret food to feed her. She starts pacing trying to think then she gets an idea to get their red flags and green flags. She grabs two pieces of parchment and a quill and write down on the first one "Severus Snape green and red flags" and start writing down his red flag first. He has a short temper, second he can be very cold and distant.

Then she moved on to his green flags after she writes his biggest red flags. The first of his green flags is he gives her princess treatment. She smiles to herself while writing that down. Second he can be very considerate. After she finishes the Snape red and green flags list she moves on to Ash's green and red flags. The first red flag is he can be mean at times without noticing. Second he sometimes just drops a conversation to go do something else. After writing down all of his biggest red flag she goes to his green flags.

First he's been there for her since day one and second he has protected her in the past. After she finishes both lists she looks at them and tries to decide who has more and the worst red flags and who has better green flags. On one side she loves older men and people who give her princess treatment and on the other side she's known Ash longer and Ash opens up about his feelings.

While Ember's still thinking somebody walks in and she quickly hides the papers and looks over and spots Snape standing there. His dark and piercing gaze is focused right at the parchment that aren't hidden very well. He says "and what might that be Ms Eveland" as he points to it with his eyes. She looks at it "I-it's nothing I- uh-" she
can't come up with an excuse. "It doesn't look like nothing" he says as he walks over. He grabs the parchments and looks at them. He looks at Ember with hurt in his eyes "you think I have a short temper and that my hair is greasy?" His voice sounds like it's cracking slightly

"I-" he cuts her off "No need for an explanation Ms Eveland. I know what you think about me it's fine go be with that boy" he walks out wiping something off his face when his back is facing her. "Professor wait!" She starts to rush after him. "You don't need to try and make me feel better I'm used to this..." He gets to the dungeon door where the potions classroom is. Still not facing her as if he's hiding his face. She gently turn his face towards herself and sees tears in his eyes and a couple down his cheeks it shatters her heart at the sight of the tears running down his cheeks. "Professor...."

She goes to wipe his tears but he grabs her hand stopping her "don't touch me!" She backs away slightly not wanting to upset him. "I-I'm sorry... I never meant to hurt you.." he looks at you "you don't understand I let you in....Ember.... I never let people in..." she nods understanding "please just let me make it right" he looks at her he's trying to trust her. "Fine come on" he takes her into the potions class which is empty.

Once they get there she pulls him into a tight hug at first he tenses up but his body starts to tremble and he starts to sob Ember's never seen him cry before she just stands there holding him close and comforting him. She rubs his back and places a soft kiss on his head "I'm so sorry..." she says her voice symptomatic and caring with a bit of concern he looks at you.

She wipes his tears with her thumb gently "it's okay I'm used to it.." he looks away trying to compose himself. She looks at him she hates seeing him like this "but you shouldn't be that's the thing" she puts her hand on his shoulder gently and caresses his shoulder with her thumb. He nods "I know.." he says weakly still sniffing. Ember grabs a tissue handing it to him and pulling him into a tight hug once again gently kissing his chest.
