Maybe I can't....

Ember runs to the Slytherin dormitories and rush to the girls dorms and jumps on her bed and start sobbing. Ash walks in "hey hey what happened" he asks concerned "you were right Ash....." Ember mutters out still crying he pulls her close "oh Ember I'm so sorry I did try and warn you though you can't fix him he's too bitter and cold" he rubs her back gently as she sobs into his chest."I hate him I really hate him...." she sobs her tears soaking Ash's shirt he looks at her "it's gonna be okay Ember.. I've got you.."

After a hour or two she eventually calms down and looks up at Ash while wiping her tears she lets out a sniffle before smiling softly at Ash feeling a bit better but not really Ash gets up "I should get going it's pretty late I'll see you tomorrow Ember" she smiles softly softly "alright see you" Ash walks out leaving her alone in her bed. Ember looks around and lays down pulling the covers over herself and starts to drift off slowly

The next morning

Ember wakes up in the morning and stretches she's glad it's the weekend at Hogwarts so she doesn't have classes and she has less of a chance of running into Snape. She gets up to get dressed for the day. She puts on some sweatpants and an oversized hoodie since it's kind of cold today as she walks out of the slytherin dormitories she almost trips but Ash rushes up behind her catching her.

She turns to look at him "you have to be more careful Ember" she smiles kind of embarrassed "yeah I'll try thanks.." she walks away and sighs. Ember walks outside to the courtyard but she see's  Snape he doesn't notice her yet.

She tries and walk away but he's already started walking to her. he makes his way over and gently grabs her hand and takes her into the potions classroom "Ember please I know I messed up but I-" she snaps "I don't want to hear it! I have been nothing but kind I've tried to help you I really have I tried to see things your way and why you build up walls I kept excusing your actions because I really wanted to believe you were a good person but...." she starts to tear up.

"you've really hurt me this time.." she says her voice cracks his gaze softens "I know.. I'm sorry I'm just so used to people hurting me when I let them in and now I'm losing the greatest thing that's happened to me.." she looks at him and sighs a couple tears falling down her cheeks. He takes a step towards her taking her hands in his and looks at her with his dark and normally cold eyes but this there is a hint of regret and self loathing in them.

"please don't be the greatest thing I've lost I can't live without you.." at this point tears are running down her face. He wipes her tears with his thumb "I'll think about it.." Ember says softly her voice barely above a whisper he nods.  "alright" he lets go of her for a second she thinks she see's a slight smile but she walks out. Ash is waiting outside for her he looks mad he grabs her "for Merlin's sake Ember what are you thinking he is bad news don't give him another chance" he says. She looks at him a bit annoyed.

"Ash I'll be fine I wanna give him another chance he truly seems sorry" he looks at her with his deep blue eyes "you know what fine Ember go ahead fix him I don't care anymore but don't come crying to me when he hurts you again" he says frustrated with her "Ash I-" he cuts her off

"no! You're running after a guy who will never change when the person who has loved you since day one is trying to protect you but you don't even care.." she looks at him with shock "you... love me..?" He sighs "yeah I do but it doesn't matter anymore" he walks away leaving her there.

A couple of hours later she is sitting alone under a tree thinking about what had happened between her and Ash she can't believe he likes her. She begins to cry slightly not knowing what to do anymore

Draco comes over and starts to tease her. Ember glares at him "calm down Paris Hilton" she says not in the mood. Draco looks at her he grits his teeth "watch it Mudblood I could destroy your life" she rolls her eyes "it's too late for that..." he looks confused "what do you mean?"

She explains her situation to Draco without telling him that she's dating a professor. He looks at her shocked "so two boys love you and one smacked you and the other one really cares about you but you don't know who to pick?" She nods and buries her face in your knees stressed "yes" she murmurs in her knees her voice barely audible. He looks at you "shouldn't you choose the healthiest option"

A bit later Ember and Draco start to get along better He's actually quite sweet when he's not being a total jerk. "You know you're not so bad when you aren't being well how you usually are" he smiles "yeah...I- I'm sorry for calling you a mudblood.." she's shocked by his apology she looks at him. "T-thank you Draco"
