"Then she had the nerve to come in thure with an attitude." I said to Imani, who was sitting in the passenger seat. "The girl lucky she ain't get slapped." She responded. "Fasho, with her bald headed ass." I said, rolling my eyes, as she laughed. "Mommy!" I heard Kalen say. "Oops! I'm sorry KK!" I forgot he was back there. He's always so quiet. We were talking about our day at work. We had to deal with a rude client today.
We were currently going back to my gramuva's house. Imani was gonna spend the week with us. "You okay, baby?" I glanced at him through my rear view mirror.
"Yes momma." He answered adorably. "Awwnn." Imani gushed. I smiled. "How was school today?" I asked. "Good. We learned more math today." He told me. "You did? What kinda' math?" I said. "Adding." He replied. Imani started asking him math problems to see how well he learned the subject. Suddenly my phone started ringing, it just so happened to be in my lap. I stopped at a red light and grabbed my phone. Big L's name came across my screen with a tongue emoji, that he added. I shook my head answering the phone.
- "Hello?" I answered with the phone on speaker. "I was beginnin' to think you wasn't gon' answer for Big L, mama." His deep voice said on the other line. Muffled music can be heard in the back. "I shouldn't have." I responded, rollin' my neck with an attitude. "I think you know betta than that, baby." He said dominantly. His dominance makes me feel a way. "I don't think I do, L." I teased with a smile as the light turned green.
"Das' Big L, baby." He corrects me. "I need a reason to call you Big, L." I said to him, smirking as if he could see me. "Oh I'll give you plenty reason." He darkly chuckled. I sighed heavily, "What you want, L? I'm drivin'." I chuckled.
"I want you at the club, tonight, 10:00." He stated. "Why?" I asked. "Don't ask questions just be hure. Bring yo' friend too." He replied. "What if I say no?" I tested. "I wasn't askin', baby. Be hure. Don't be late." He demanded, and hung up. __
I glanced at my phone in shock. When I came to another stop, I looked at Imani with my jaw on the floor of my Impala. "I only got one word for you, honey." She said pausing, looking at me. I closed my mouth with a straight face 'cause I knew she was gon' say something annoying. "GAGGED." She shouted, bustin' up laughing. I side eyed her, HARD. "You've been gagged huntyyy." She continued laughing. When the light changed, I drove off laughing along with her.

After making sure we all ate, I gave Kalen a bath and helped him with his homework. When he was done I let him hang with Imani in the living room.
