The soft chime of my alarm pulled me from a restless sleep

The soft chime of my alarm pulled me from a restless sleep. I blinked at the ceiling, letting the familiar feeling of solitude settle in. The first light of dawn filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow around my bedroom. Another day, another set of challenges.

I pushed back the covers and slid out of bed, my feet touching the cool wooden floor. Heading to the bathroom, I glanced at my reflection in the mirror. The face staring back at me was that of a woman who bore the weight of an empire on her shoulders. Agarwal Industries depended on me, and there was no room for weakness.

After a quick shower, I dressed in a sharp navy suit, my armor for the day. As I fastened the cufflinks, my thoughts drifted to the evening ahead. The family gathering at Agastya's house to finalize the wedding date for Yuvaan and Sara. I was both eager and apprehensive. Family dynamics were always tricky, and with Agastya’s bubbly nature, it was bound to be an eventful evening.

Heading downstairs, I found Priya already waiting with a fresh cup of coffee and a tablet loaded with today’s schedule.

“Good morning, Priya,” I said, taking the coffee.

“Good morning, ma’am. You have a board meeting at 10, followed by a lunch with the investors, and the family gathering in the evening,” she summarized efficiently.

I nodded, sipping the hot coffee. “Anything else I need to be aware of?”

“Agastya called earlier. He wanted to confirm the decorations for tonight,” she added, her tone professional but with a hint of amusement.

“Of course, he did,” I muttered, a small smile tugging at my lips. Agastya’s enthusiasm was contagious, even if it was often misplaced.

Agastya’s Perspective

The garden was a fairyland of lights, each tree twinkling like a dream

The garden was a fairyland of lights, each tree twinkling like a dream. Tara and I had worked tirelessly to get everything just right for Raj and Priya's big moment. As I finished stringing up the last of the fairy lights, I looked over at Tara, who was arranging flowers with her usual precision.

“Tara, agar tum itna concentrate karogi na, toh phool dar jayenge,” I teased, my voice light.

She shot me a look of mild annoyance. “Agastya, focus on your work. Humein yeh perfect banana hai for Raj and Priya.”
