I may like the ship but the reason it's kind of low is because they're more platonic than anything. But, I do see them getting together as a romantic pairing (if Kyojuro didn't DIE).
I can see Tengen being reasonably upset when finding out his best buddy passed away and likely was LIVID at Akaza for that.
