The next day had begun too soon. Perhaps because I couldn't sleep almost anything last night, with the madness that it was!
After my new vampire friends explained about the complicated situation I was in, they asked me to move or leave town while there were hunters. As I immediately refused and they also had to stay in town for queen service, we set up, as promised, classes to help improve my skills and to start feeding properly.
"Maybe you'll have a chance to find a hunter or a badly-faced vampire...", Noah and Nina agreed, as we escorted Erika to the car.
I was very lucky to have found the twins, what seemed to differentiate from Erika's opinion, who was in a dangerous mix of fright and angry. She even had rejected the offer to be carried in ultra-speed so she didn't have to walk! However, she couldn't complain when they committed to disappear with the body, which was already with our fingerprints and could be a problem if found.
I got to college first classes yawning, walking a little dizzy down the halls. One thing I was sure of: I was going to sleep all classes!
"Are you going to Celina's party?" asked Henrico, but I too was busy, scratching my eyes, to answer.
"Man! You look like crap!" said my friend with sincerity and I laughed.
"I spent the night talking to some online friends...", I lied as I picked up my books.
"From Japan!?" said Henrico laughing and I was going to respond when the smell of the twins entered my field. It was so characteristic that I couldn't forget, especially that little piece of smell that I couldn't identify and the blood smell.
Before I could go looking for them , Noah appeared beside me, placing his hand on my shoulder.
"Hugo!" he said, and I tried to contain my face with surprise.
"Noah... What are you doing here?!" I asked, looking at Henrico with the corner of my eyes. He seemed mesmerized by the beauty of my other friend. He wore a dark blue blazer with thin stripes, a perfectly fitted jeans and branded sneakers.
Noah ignored the new admirer and turned to me with a shopping bag.
"Use it! They are brown contact lenses! So that your eyes do not attract the attention of hunters ... If anyone asks, tell them you were wearing fantasy contact lenses before and this is the natural color of your eyes.
"Where are you going?"
"Talk to the orienteer, I'm a new student!"
"Hi, Hugo!" spoke Nina emerging behind Henrico, who clashed again with the surreal beauty of the twins. She wore a fake cream fur coat, a waisted wine pants and a white silk blouse.
"Pleasure, Nina Gray, new student," she introduced herself in her loaded accent.
"Are you siblings...?" stammered Henrico shaking her hand.
"Twins," I added.
"How do you know them, Hugo?"
I started stuttering an answer when Nina responded fiddling with her gold necklace.
"We are cousins."
"I thought you were adopted...".
"And I am, they are from my biological family, I know them for a short time...".
Henrico sighted.
"You're as handsome as them, just your eyes that scare a little.
Noah cleared his trough, pointing with his head at the bag and I understood the cue.
