When I woke up, I was in such a good mood that I decided to go to the Café Rosé, but before that. It was a small café in Paris, at the corner of the street. I lived in a small flat in the same street, just opposite the café and near the Eiffel Tower.
All kinds of people always went there, the last one I saw was a hippie with his dog who went there and came out again with a coffee mug. This morning there was a smartly dressed young woman with an expensive black designer hat and many bags in her hands, she bought a croissant and when she went out a man in a black leather jacket was waiting for her, he got out in front of her in a taxi. I couldn't hear what they were saying but it went on like this, the guy took a ring out and I guess he asked her to marry him, they hugged, kissed and walked away towards where the Eiffel Tower was.
Now therefore that you know why I got oh the so great idea to go in Rosé. Well, I took two of my favourite books from my dark brown shelf, these were Lord of the Rings, I had one book where all the volumes were together and Sherlock Holmes was just split into two books. Therefore, I had a total of three books with me. I walked down the old witch's stairs and went to the coffee house.
Once there, I sat down at my usual table, which was right in the corner next to the window, I had a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and Paris. It would be important to mention that I was wearing a beautiful red dress at that time and it was really espensive. As usual, I was reading a book, I just started reading Lord of the Rings for the countless time. It's a magnificent tale, following Frodo and his friends on their perilous journey to destroy the One Ring in Mordor.
As I immersed myself in the story, a woman approached. Though I cannot recall her exact attire, she had blonde hair, green eyes, and was dressed in expensive designer clothes. Even though I had been living in Paris for 2 years, my French wasn't the best, therefore you could always hear my accent. The woman came over to me and sat down. Started speaking in French, she had a delicate angelic voice: "Bon jour Madame! I am Ines. I saw you reading that book, and now it's my favourite book."
"Oh really! What a coincidence," I said sceptically, also in French of course. "That's incredible that you like it," then she looked at the table still and caught sight of my notebook with thousands and thousands of notes and drawings. She also saw the Sherlock Holmes books.
"You like Sherlock Holmes too?", she asked
I looked at her without making a face and said sarcastically, "No, I just have them lying here for the aesthetics." Ines looked at me dumbfounded, "Are you serious now?" I just shook my head.
She wasn't going anywhere, one thing you need to know about me is that I, pretty much dislike all people. Anyway, Ines was still sitting on the armchair, looking at me as if she was looking right through me. Well that annoyed me so much that I introduced myself too, because I thought at the time, really, that she would leave me alone. So I introduced myself like this, I didn't know at that moment that she was going to turn my life upside down, "Well my name is Eleonore, and as you can probably tell I'm here trying to read a book in peace."
Apparently, the conversation was not going as I had hoped. Ines started talking again, "Why are you so rude? Anyway, I like your dress." Ines dumped her coffee on me. To this day, I don't know if she did it on purpose or not. I was horrified, my new red dress was ruined, and it had been very expensive because it was a designer dress. That wasn't the worst of it, the coffee had spilled all over my drawings and notes.
I shouted angrily at her, "What are you missing?! How could you destroy all my work?! I needed those drawings for Art University!"
Then suddenly a guy appeared, he had black hair and black eyes. He said, "Hey Eleonore, don't be so silly, I'm sure the woman didn't do it on purpose." I wondered how he knew my name, because I had never seen him before.
