---------------------------------------------------------

Midoriya, Ida, and Uraraka gathered in front of the bed you rested on in the nurse's office, bleak looks on their faces. You were pale, a complete lack of color on your face, and were hooked up to a blood pack for the transfusion process. The only sign of life that could be found was if you leaned in real close to hear the sound of your very soft breaths. A t.v. could be heard playing behind them, broadcasting the Sports Festival for Recovery Girl to see, mostly for situations like this.

"What exactly happened out there? Ida pondered out loud.
"I don't know, but it wasn't like L/N at all." Midoriya said.
"It's not just that they were acting different, but they also didn't really look like themselves." Uraraka added, staring at you before turning over to Midoriya and Ida.
"What do you mean by that?" Ida asked her, but it was Midoriya who answered.
"She's right. It didn't even look like the person out there was L/N. Their eyes, their face they were almost like a different person. They were so intense, and angry, almost like..... Kacchan?"

"Right on the nose as always, Midoriya-san." came a voice from behind them in the doorway. They turned around to see Hikisaku, who completely blocked the entrance to the room.
"I guess I better get everything straight here. Let me explain."

"We're not sure why it is, or if it's even true, but through their quirk, Yugo seems to be highly susceptible to emotion."
"Emotion?" the three of them said in different volumes, interrupting her.
"Yes, if they aren't careful, and don't attempt to keep their emotions in check, they start to take on the strongest emotions around them.
Didn't you ever notice that when I left for my matches, Yugo suddenly would get very quiet? They were trying to make sure nothing happened. Of course, Bakugo strutting around like a peacock was bound to make Yugo flip out and do the same."

This time, Midoriya by himself interrupted her,"But if that's true, then why have we just seen this now? Why didn't it happen sooner?"

"Hold on, that's the most important part, I'm getting there. This weakness of Yugo's seems to be completely ignored when they're around someone that they're close with.
Someone that they have a bond with."

"That someone is me. That someone has been me for a long time now, and it'll keep being me for a long time after. Do you guys understand? Yugo needs me. I'm protecting them from others by being around them."

"Let me put this in a way you'll understand, then. Yugo is NOT your friend. When you talk with them, hang around them without me being there, they're just copying your friendly emotions, and it just looks like you're all getting along."

"You've just been befriending a copy of yourselves, because the person you're talking to, that you think is your friend isn't even Yugo. That overly happy, cherry, person that you're "friends" with is NOT the real Yugo."

With that, she stormed out of the room, as if she made herself angry from the whole explanation.
The three of them grew quiet again, this time not because you were hurt, though that was still fresh in their minds. This time, they were thinking about their friendship with you.
"Not the real L/N..... What could she possibly mean by that?" Ida stood there, deep in thought.
"Do you think that's true? Do you think that we're not really L/N's friends?" Midoriya said, looking at you, before turning over to Uraraka and Ida.

Uraraka looked down at her feet, and she thought back to what had happened earlier in the day.
'Hey, Uraraka-san. Good luck out there. I'll be cheering for you!"
"You mean like how you did with Midoriya and Ida?"
"Uh huh. Well....maybe a little louder." "Thanks, L/N."'
'They knew something was up, they knew that I was worried about having to fight Bakugo. They didn't start copying my emotions, though. It was the opposite, they wanted to me to be me. They wanted me to smile along with them, to be the cheery person that I am.'

"Hikisaku! She's wrong about L/N! They are our friend! You two have been alone with them before, haven't you? Have you ever noticed them acting any different around you? Because I haven't! That out there, was the only time I've seen L/N not be the happy, cheerful person that they are! I believe that the L/N we see everyday, having fun and making sure that we're having fun too, IS the real L/N."

Ida and Midoriya looked at her intently, and she realized she had been yelling the entire time. She put her hand over her mouth in embarrassment, and bowed to you in apology.
"You're right Uraraka! L/N is our friend! We're here aren't we? I'm sure if one of us was like this right now, they'd be the first person here." Ida shouted out, much like Uraraka had.
"Yeah, I'm sure they'd do whatever it takes for us! I'm sure they'd even use their quirk and tire themselves out for us!" Midoriya also yelled out.
Ida and Midoriya realized this after Recovery Girl from the other side of the office stared at them judgingly. So they also put their hands over their moves, and bowed to you. They figured it was best to let you rest, and they left to continue to watch the rest of the Sports Festival.

---------------------------------------------------------

"This is the final match of the third round! This should be a good one, the perfect example of the type of passion between two people that I want to see! From Class 1A, he has been on an absolute tear, literally! Katsuki Bakugo! His opponent! She's going to kick his ass, she told me to say! It's Mimitaka Hikisaku!

As if you felt those words to your core, you suddenly sat up in the bed of the nurse's office. You looked around at your surroundings quickly, to find out where you were. You looked up at the t.v. and saw that Hikisaku's battle against Bakugo was about to begin. 'Mimi.'
You felt something latched onto you, and you looked at your arm to see a tube, you followed it up to the blood pack that it was attached to. You unhooked them violently, with what little strength you had.
"Hey, what are you doing!" Recovery Girl called out to you, as she looked at you leaning against the wall of the room, and stumble towards the door.
As you left the office, you continued to lean against the walls of the stadium, you were far too weak to stand on your own.

"L/N?! What are you! Huh?" Mina was at a loss for words as you appeared back onto the stands, again finding yourself leaning against the railing, this time for support. With absolutely no sense of balance in your state, you almost went over, until Kirishima ran up behind you and pulled you back up. "Dude! What are you doing out here?! You really should be with Recovery Girl!"
You didn't hear any of that though, all your attention was focused at Hikisaku down below. He followed your gaze, and he sighed,"Do you really have to watch out here L/N? Alright, come on."
He took you and sat you down next to him, and he leaned you against his arm to hold you up. From here, you watched on with the same expression you had for the last two of Hikisaku's fights.

---------------------------------------------------------

Hikisaku looked across the arena at Bakugo, but the angry expression that you might've expected wasn't there. Instead, she had a smirk on her face, and Bakugo looked at her like she was an idiot.
"What the hell is up with you?"
Hikisaku let out a small chuckle, but then her voice grew serious.

"This shouldn't take too long."
