A demon had been aimlessly walking in the middle of nowhere street, kicking a pebble with his foot as he walked, huffing and puffing to himself.
"Stupid mission... Stupid people..." he mumbled to himself. This demon's name was Nolan; With a dark grey skin tone, horns, a tail swaying from side to side and his oddly only bandage clothing, he walked down the street. It was a windy night, he had just gotten out of a mission he was assigned with; and messed up horribly. Though thankfully the others had saved the mission, he couldn't help but be grumpy, as natural. He walked down the windy street, till out of nowhere a flyer hit his face. He stumbled backwards, cursing under his breath.
"What the-?!" he yelled, getting the flyer off his face, frowning.
"Oh, nothing but a flyer. Let's see..." He looked down at the flyer. It read,
"Yael's concert! At 29th September, Sunday, from 9 PM till 11 PM! (The popular singer Yael debuts in the middle of nowhere street.)" Nolan turned the piece of paper to look behind it, there being nothing but a footprint. He turned it back on its front, contemplating. He'd had a rough day and anything to get his mind off the horrible mission would be amazing right now. He looked at a clock in a nearby shop; exactly 8:40 PM. He looked back at the flyer in hand, sighing. He made up his mind, he was gonna check it out. The place wasn't too far away, and luckily it was in the direction he was headed to. He fast walked his way there, quickly reaching it after not long. Opening the door, buying a table located at the very front of the stage and then sitting at the table, he gazed around the place. The place was gorgeous, atleast to him who had come to this world not long ago, pretty obvious from his worn out bandages serving as clothing. He occasionally stole glances at the clock, slowly tapping his feet on the ground as he grew impatient, waiting. Then, most likely the clock having stroke 9 PM, the lights went off, except the ones showing the stage. Having sat right in front of the stage, he looked up with a curious gaze.
Yael stepped on the stage as his song started, him singing with a melodic voice. The fans screamed in excitement, some just screams, some yelling out i love you, some yelling out things that are better off not said. They all sang with him, it was a rather upbeat and pleasant to the ear kind of song. Having no idea of the lyrics nor even the name of the said song, Nolan could only listen and look at Yael; but that's when it hit him. He had made eye contact with Yael, his eyes slightly widening in surprise. Yael smirked, looking away into the crowd as he kept singing his heart away. Nolan, on the other hand, was trying to make sense of such action. To be honest, it'd make sense considering he's up close to Yael himself, but he hadn't expected him to *smirk* after. He huffed, leaning back in his chair, stabbing daggers with his eyes into Yael. Yael often glanced at Nolan and held up an atleast 10 second eye contact, even looking him up and down. He thought to himself,
"It's not often we get a new guy around. How curious... He stands out, a tad bit too much, too. Shit, the song-" Yael, after lip syncing for a few seconds, continued his melodic singing. All of a sudden, Nolan got up from his seat, frowning angrily as he headed to the door.
"I knew it was a rather terrible idea to even go out of my way and attend some dumb concert of some rando." He thought to himself, stomping his way out of there, but then-...
The song started it's instrument only part, Yael hopping his mic in hand as he stared at Nolan. He didn't want him out of here, at least not now, when his interest was very much piqued. He closed his eyes, keeping a firm grip on his mic. Nolan, unaware of his actions, walked back to his seat, sitting down. He then snapped back to reality, his eyes widening in surprise and shock. What just happened, how is he back here? Tons of questions swirled in his mind, but he had a suspect, an answer to all of his questions. He looked up at Yael, only to find him smiling assuringly at him, then turning his gaze back to the crowd. Nolan cursed under his breath. He knew he needed to have a little chat with this guy.
The time passed by quickly for Yael, yet agonizingly slow for Nolan. It was 11 PM at last, and the time for Nolan to confront Yael had come. Nolan stood up, standing away from the outrageous crowd of crazy fans, all running to Yael who got off stage, to where everyone is seated. Yaels guards were stopping them from getting too close as he smiled and gave a few autographs, then he saw him; the demon with bandages as clothing. He smirked smugly as he continued down the line, till he was finally lined up with Nolan. He looked at him, and Nolan looked back. He had a smug smile while Nolan had a grumpy frown, desperate to confront him. Yael quickly handed Nolan a card, hiding his act as he autographed another shirt as he handed the card. Nolan quickly leaned in and took the card in hand, then saw Yael storm out of the place. He looked at the card. It read...
"Call me!"
