7. The Yule Ball

Classes were cancelled on the 18'th because of the ball.
Aliyah, Rose and Pansy decided to go dress shopping so they went to Hogsmade, the only place where students were allowed besides the school and its grounds.
The three girls tried on hundreds of dresses but, in the end, Aly got a navy blue dress, Rose got a cherry red dress and Pansy got a dark gray one.

Pansy, Aliyah and Rose got up and went to eat breakfast together. They decided that they would spend the day perfecting their outfits and entrances.
After breakfast Aly went to her dorm got everything she needed and headed over to Rose and Pansys dorm.
They spent the whole afternoon laughing and getting themselves ready, as did the whole school.
Rose managed to get a 4'th year Hufflepuff to help with their entrance so they could amaze the whole school and make themselves known.

The boys weren't as nervous for the ball. They got ready an hour or teo before the ball began.
Most boys wore simple suits with a white button up shirt.

Once the clock struck 19:00 the yule ball began. It was held in the great hall and it was decorated with enchanted ice that didn't melt. The room was a beautiful icy blue colour and was filled with white fairy lights.
The professors were the first to arrive. Slowly the room was filling up with students.

Draco, Theo, Enzo, Mattheo and Astoria all arrived at the same time but Aly, Rose and Pansy weren't there.
The golden trio, Harry, Rob and Hermione, arrived next but the three girls were nowhere to be seen.
Around half past seven the lights went out. Fogg started covering the icy floor and the three began descending the stairs. A light covered them and made them sparkle and stand out more than anyone else at the ball.
Everyone was amazed with the bold entrance the girls had.
Harry, Mattheo and Theo weren't expecting this so they were amazed by their dates confidence.

Everyone had fun and danced, until Astoria took Draco's hand and went over to Aly and her friends.
- AG:"Drakey look! She looks like she just jumped out of the dumpster!" she said laughing
- D:"Mhm..." he said almost sadly, not making eye contact with Aly or their friends
Thats when Aliyah decided she's had enough. She walks over to Astoria, punches her in the nose then turnes to Draco and slaps him across the face.
Rose bursts out laughing and looks at Aliyah.
- R:"Thats my bestie!"
- AG:"YOU INSUFFERABLE IDIOT" she yelled ar Aly while holding her hand o ther nose "NO WONDER YOURE FRIENDS WITH A STUPID MUDBLOOD!"
Rose ran over to her and started hitting and kicking her. Mattheo was admiring proudly with a slight grin on his face.
- D:"WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS ALIYAH? WHATS GOTTEN INTO YOU?" he yelled as she started leaving.

Aliyah left the ball teary-eyed and started running towards the Astronomy Tower, the highest place in Hogwarts, where she knew nobody would bother her. She didn't want to talk to anyone and just needed to be alone.
She felt betrayed after everything she's been through with Draco. He knew how awful Astoria treated her and still asked her to join him for the ball instead of her.
She arrived at the Astronomy Tower and the cold winter wind was drying her tears.
Pansy came running towards Aly and hugged her from behind.
Draco came running after Pansy but ince he saw them together he could only stand and wach them. He felt horrible. He thought he was the worst person for making her cry. It was the first time he ever saw ger cry and it was all beacuse of him.

Some time passes and the ball has ended. Everyone was in their dorms. Everyone besides Astoria eho was in the hospital wing after Aliyah broke her nose and Rose hit her multiple times.
Professor Snape called Rose and Aliyah into his office.
- Prof.Snape:" Miss Hazelwood, miss Granger have a seat. ...Now tell me what happened miss Hazelwood."
- A:" Yes professor, I was minding my own business when Astoria came over and started insulting me. A wave of rage came over me and i gave in and punched her..."
- Prof.Snape:"I see... well has this been the first... altercation with miss Greengrass?"
- A:"No sir, she's messed with my belongings and called me names since before we were sorted."
- Prof.Snape:"...I understand.... Now, miss Granger what made you behave so ... aggressively?"
- R:" Well sir, she called me a "mudblood" multiple times."
- Prof.Snape:"Both of you will recieve a week worth of detention... miss Greengrass has learned her lesson i belive.... And i will be writing to your parents about this incident." he said in his usual sullen tone

After that Aliyah and Rose were sent to their rooms.
