12. Wizards Chess

At the end of the dark corridor there was a small but tall room filled with winged keys and an old broom that stood underneath them.
On a wall, next to a torch that lit itself, was written "To exit you must find the key to open the door. If you will fail you must meet your doom in this, here, room."
- A:"... so who's going to go get the key?"she said sitting down on a large rock.
- H:" ILL GO!"he said getting on the broom.
- D:"No, I'll go"he headed towards the broom, pushing Harry out of the way.
- E:" Will you two quit fighting and just get that key?"
- D:" Fine... he flies the broom." he rolled his eyes and sat down next to Aliyah, who scooted over as soon as he sat.
After a bit more fighting about wich key is the correct one, Harry finally found the key and unlocked the door wich led them to a larger room with a gigantic wizards chess bord on the floor whose pawns were larger than the children.

The wall was, again, marked by a stone plate that said they would have to win a game of wizards chess against the white bewitched pieces, without cheating or using magic, in order to go to the next challenge.
Ron, Theo and Enzo were the best at wizards chess so the group decided that they will be the ones to command the pieces. Ron sat on one of the horses, Enzo sat on the king and Theo sat on the second horse.
And so the game began. The bewitched side was extremely smart and had a great strategy but so did the boys.
The others had to sit beside and watch because if they interfered with the game, they would automatically lose and the pieces would explode, hurting everyone.
The queen of the other team commanded the pawn in front of her to move and the boys yelled at the pieces on their side to move as well.
After a while of watching them play, Rose got up in a rush, startling everyone around her and took out something from her pocket and...
- R:" GUYS WAIT!"
- M:" WHATS WRONG ROSIE??"
- R:" ITS TIME FOR A ✨LIPGLOSS BREAK✨!!!
- A:" OH RIGHT I TOTALLY FORGOT" she said limply getting up and getting her lipgloss and putting ot on.
- R.W:" GUYS BE QUIET, WE'RE TRYING TO CONCENTRATE HERE!"
After their lipgloss break, Rose and Aliyah sat down and continued to watch the match.
There were few pieces left on the board and Enzo had been eliminated by the opponent team, injuring him along the way, so now, only Theo and Ron would be able to move certain pieces.
Suddenly, the queen ordered a move that caused Theo to be eliminated and now only Ron was left.
He hardly managed to outsmart the queen and in the end, he had to sacrifice himself in order to win.
Even though they won the match, Enzo, Theo and Ron were unable to go to the next challenge and went to the hospital wing.
- E:"Be careful guys!"
- T:" Good luck!"
They said limping and holding onto each other for balance.
- A:" Try not to fall before getting to Maddam Pomfrey!"
Their quest hadn't ended yet, they had more difficult challenges ahead.
