That night was calm. Moon was bright, it was the only thing that was giving some light onto the path two young girls were walking on. Nature was living it's best life, you could hear it's music, gently lulling you to sleep. In a moment like this, the only thing you could think about was now, nothing else mattered. Cares and worries were left somewhere, far behind.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?" Younger girl asked, worriedly clinging onto older girl's hand. They were in the middle of nowhere. People, city noises and barking dogs were also nowhere to be heard. It was peaceful.
"Of course I am, love, don't you worry" Brunette sweetly said, trying to reassure her girlfriend. "We're almost here"
They were dating for almost three weeks now and even though it was too early to tell they both had the same hope. Hope to be together for the rest of their life.
"We're here" Harmony looked at the blonde admiring her beauty. Taylor mentioned she'd love to go on a date. Stargazing, to be specific. So few days later Harmony made that happen.
"Beautiful.." Taylor said in awe, looking around. The place was indeed really beautiful. The forest around them rustled steadily, playing music known only to them. The pristine sky reflected off the surface of the lake.
"Yeah.." the older girl whispered, but referring to the girl standing beside her. She could have sworn she'd never seen any girl more prettier, smarter and generous than Taylor.
They both went to sit by the lake, listening to the surroundings around them and looking at the sky full of stars.
Harmony put her arm around Taylor's waist and they both joked around, laughing at the smallest things and appreciating the beauty around them. And that was it. That wasn't longer a hope, more like a fact. She knew that this relationship would last long beautiful years, the best of their lifes.

"Damn, what did you do" The brunette asked though the phone. Taylor sighed on the other side of the line. The blonde was grounded, which wasn't something really shocking to both of them. She was the one that usually got into trouble. That's why Taylor's parents liked Harmony so much, "I like that girl, maybe she'll help you stay out of trouble" her dad used to say very often and her mom would just laugh and agree with him.
"That was just rhetorical question though because I'm pretty sure what did you do" The older girl added seconds later.
That made blonde laugh. She loved how Harmony knew her so well, always paying attention to the smallest details and actually listening to her.
"You know, you can always run away. To me, obviously. You've already got your drawer at my place so you wouldn't even have to pack" Harmony laughed.

"Taylor for god's sake, wait for a fucking minute" Harmony shouted at the younger girl. It was currently 2:30 am and they just got into the worst argument they ever had. Harmony ran after Taylor who left the apartment in the fit of anger. Now they both were yelling at each other, in the middle of night, on the street. Everything was slipping right out of their hands and unless they did something, they both were on the lost position.
"Why do you even care?! Just leave me like everyone did, I'm used to it by now!" The blonde yelled at the taller girl, filled with anger, her eyes glossy, voice breaking down.
"You're too precious to me, Taylor. Please, you need to understand that I'm not like people from your past relationships. I'll never leave you alone, I'll never lose someone that important to me." Sadness filled brunette's voice. They both were exhausted, their minds and bodies filled with anger, sadness and confusion.
Taylor took a deep breath trying to calm her self down. The tears staying her rosy cheeks and grey tshirt she had worn. Harmony took a step closer, and closer to finally be next to younger girl. She lifted her hand, gently placing it onto blonde's cheek. Taylor leaned into the touch and sighed.
"I remember how we felt sitting by the water and every day I look at you it's like the first time. Each day I fall in love with you more and more, love" she whispered sweetly "I can't lose you, because I'll lose myself" she muttered under her breath.
Taylor wrapped her arms around Harmony's waist, the brunette did the same, both of them melting into each other's touch, the gesture was filled with so much love that no further words were required to say.
*Today*
"Can you believe it?" Taylor asked as they both were laying on the sofa, their focus on the ceiling.
"Believe what?" Harmony asked, looking at Taylor and smiling slightly.
"Believe that.. that this is gonna forever" The blonde smiled happily.
"My love, I knew it since that day at the lake" The older girl chuckled and leaned in to kiss her.
"You're the best thing that's ever been mine" Taylor said quickly before she felt Harmony's soft lips on hers.
