After a week when I was settled with the Australian timing, I went for morning/dawn jog. It was around 5 am so you decide if it was dawn or morning. I had gained layers of fat eating mom's heavy handmade food. You see normally I don't mind but I couldn't risk having my stomach blob as the February gala was coming and the dress was already altered zillion of times.

After half an hour of jogging in the park, I sat on the wooden bench breathing heavily. Damn, I am not fit! On the opposite side of the lane was another wooden bench where a male just sat who was dripping in sweat. His head was facing downwards and he too was breathing heavy. He wore a sleeveless shirt and a 3 quarter pant. I sound like a creep but something about him felt familiar. I'm pretty sure he felt my stare so he looked up.

"Can I help you?" he asked. I'm not sure if I know him but his voice was Oh la la.

"Sorry. But you seem familiar." I replied still staring at him.

"I am not famous yet."

"I wouldn't stare at you if you were famous." I am officially a creep.

"Okay, how 'bout you stop staring at me like that and then we figure out if you know me?" he squirmed uncomfortably.

"Alright." I gave him one last strong stare and moved my eyes to the sky above.

"Oh no! No. N-No. It is you!" My jaw hit the ground.

"What? Who?" he looked around in shock.

"David Conrad. Top basketball player of Black-wood High school." I replied smiling. We knew each other but never spoke in school, only on the last week of school we spoke a little.

"Yeah?" he scratched the back of his neck with his right hand.

"Sheila Parker here." I stood up from the bench.

"Parker? As in the most short and quiet girl at school? Or might I say only in front of male?"

"I can't help if I feel awkward. And short?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"You were quite short then. But look at you! You have all grown up! You are almost my hei-.. Nope. You aren't that tall." He came forward to shake hands.

"My palm is all sweaty." I laughed at his previous statement and continued.

"Oh well next time then." He put his hand back to his side and smiled.

Oh no. Not that smile.

Breathe. Breathe.

"How is your boyfriend?" I asked after we started walking, side by side.

"He is fine. He is not the same one from high school though." He replied after a while.

Yup. He is gay and yet I feel warm every time he speaks.

"How is your boyfriend? Or are you still "Nope. No boyfriend for me." He changed his voice into a high pitched voice while mimicking.

"Where have you heard that? I didn't say it."

"Oh yeah. Obviously you didn't but I wonder how the entire school got to know about this." He put a finger on his chin and 'hmm-ed'.

"Oh shut it." I replied hiding my smile by biting my lower lips.

"Where are you going?" My brother, Ryan, stopped me when I was about to walk out of the front door.
