"Happy New Year!"
"Please don't annoy me." I growled from under the blanket.
"Get up ass. It's the first morning of 2017."
"Yeah I have a beautiful ass and it's not 9 am yet." I replied with a smirk which no one could see.
"Stop smirking Sheila. And I'll be back in 20 minutes to annoy you." The clicking of heels followed right after the words.
I couldn't sleep anymore. Getting out of my blanket and bed, I walked to the next room which was supposed to be the guest room but now it is the room of clothes. It has 2 already fitted cupboard, one for each of us and another extra cupboard we bought for keeping sandals\shoes\heels. I went to mine, took out my stuff and headed back to my room to take a shower.
"Hannah! Hannah! Food!" I shouted as I blow-dried my lightly wavy dark brown waist-length hair. I stood in front of the tall mirror attached to the wall. I was wearing an oversized men's full-sleeved white Tee with faded blue jeans. I had applied mascara and light lipstick. Not much of a makeup person, you see.
As I headed out of my room, I took my phone from the charger and called out again because my stomach was grumbling very badly.
"Hannah! I need food. I bet our neighbours can hear my stomach making noi... ses." I stopped on my track as I saw a guy sitting on one couch and another guy with Hannah sitting on the other.
"There you are! The food is in the kitchen. Hurry up, we have to head out." Hannah spoke as other guys stared at my face.
"Okay...erm... but who are they?" I asked, my voice hardly recognizable. I have a problem. I talk in the lowest possible voice when there are unknown male species nearby. It isn't intentional, it just happens.
"Oh, sorry. This is Sid (the guy sitting beside Hannah) and that is Eden. And guys, that is Sheila." Hannah said gleefully.
I waved at them with a small smile, murmured about going to eat breakfast and headed to the kitchen. I placed the food on the small round table we had in the kitchen and started eating. I didn't even notice what I was eating because I had something else in mind. I think Sid is the one who Hannah is secretly dating for the past year and the other one was his friend or something. Both of them were tall, handsome and muscular, had 6 abs each. What? I am not a creepy person, they wore tight t-shirts!
I met Hannah in the first year of our University in Montreal, Canada. We both studied business. We somehow clicked and after 2 months we rented an apartment not far from the Uni. Hannah would make breakfast and dinner. I would make lunch. This magically lasted 5 years and here we are now, graduated and ready to head back tomorrow to our native country, Australia. No, we don't have the Australian accent. Yes, we haven't packed much yet but we'll have friends coming over at night to help us.
The clicking of heels brought me back to reality. "Sheila, do you like Sid?" Hannah asked, her eyes pleading me to like him.
"He is the one you are dating, right?" I asked taking my now empty plate to the basin.
"Yes." She squeaked.
"He is.... Handsome. Drool-worthy." I spoke out in a serious voice, leaning my back to the counter.
"Yeah but......wait. What! You like him!" took her a while to understand. She did her weird happy dance.
"So, I am drool worthy?" I heard a strong male voice from the entrance of the kitchen.
"Totally." I don't know where this confidence was coming from but I liked it.
"I thought you were the shy type." Sid said after a while.
