C H A P T E R - F O U R

"And then we broke up. End of Story." Jess sighed.

"So, I don't get you all. You tell Sheila about how you (Jess) broke up and that too right after Naila tells about her engagement. Let Shei absorb the feeling of happiness, at least!" Amanda said sitting by the window with her bowl of chips.

As planned before, we were having a girl's day. While Amanda was unloading chips and wafers from the huge bags of food we bought, Naila and Jess were telling me what all I missed.

"Hey! Too little time and too much to tell." Naila said.

"Wow." I sighed laying on the bed with my legs hanging down. "Looks like I was sleeping for a decade."

Lilly (our housekeeper) came to my room with water and soft drinks. Jess gave her a new packet of chips from the bag of food which she took with a smiley face. After mom got serious back pain, we decided that a housekeeper was needed. Lilly has been working with us for the past 7 years.

Suddenly Amanda started laughing to herself. We all looked at her with a question mark face.

"Sorry, I just remembered Mrs. Susan's red wine, falling down the stair story." she said after a while. It is one of the stories I was being told earlier today. We laughed.

"No!" I said in a loud desperate voice. "Why, why, WHY me?"

"Hey! I'm not happy with it either. But I have to go to." Hannah said strongly.

It was night time. The girls were staying for a sleepover. We were all having dinner when I got a text from Hannah that we urgently need to video chat. I managed to gobble the food fast, there wasn't much on my plate because we girls ate the whole day.

"Why can't he postpone his visit for a week or to whenever you are coming back?" I said staring angrily at the laptop screen. She was talking to me while folding clothes to take to London.

The "he" we are talking about is Aiden (Remember Aiden, friend of Tony and Hannah in Canada? The mutual friend?) As I've heard, his family lived in Canada until they had to shift back to their native Australia for business. Aiden who has visited Australia once in his entire life didn't want to start afresh so he stayed with his uncle and aunt. His family visited him once every year.

Getting to the main point. His family is extremely busy this year hence he will be visiting Australia for 2 weeks to see his parents and he wants to visit places. Hannah was originally supposed to be his guide but now I am being appointed to it. After losing the argument with Hannah, I shut the laptop screen with force.

"Should we start listing all the amazing places worth a visit?" Naila said with a provoking innocent smile.

I gave her a little glare and went to sit in the middle of the bed with my back pressed to the headboard.

"So do we get to meet with this guy?" Jess said with layers of excitement in her question. She sat on the edge of the bed facing me.

I looked at her with dead eyes.

"Oh come on Sheila! Quit being angry. Only for 2 weeks and with a good looking guy." Amanda's comment was appreciated by the "Ooohs" of Jess and Naila.

"And how do you know that he is good looking?" Me, the smart-ass, asked.

"Simple, if he wasn't you would be friends with him." Amanda replied while sitting on the bed.

"WOAH-ho! Excuse me? Tony is very good looking. Nick is very good looking! What crap are you talking about?" I exclaimed.

"That's why you had a crush on Nick." My smart-ass got kicked. They laughed.
